  I have exessive heat comming from the driverside center console, very hot to the touch with leg and hand. Does anyone know the problem or fix? Did Volvo ever have a recall to fix that problem?

  Hi All, I have a heating problem in my Fiesta Freestyle 1.25i (Y Reg). It started about a year ago when I would have the heat control on cold and all of a sudden hot air would come through. This then gradually got worse until around May this year when I could not get any heat out of it at all.

  Driver's mirror has clouded over so ordered a new one.  It's meant to operate with the heated rear window I understand.  Just driven about and noticed it's warm despite being heated rear being switched off ... maybe this has made it go in to decline?  The n/s one doesn't seem to warm up at all.

    My tank is now down to 1/10 full, we are very unlikely to use any more oil until autumn as it is solely for heating and a little for hot water, so I am not desperate..  There seems to be a trend that the oil price is falling, heating oil about 5p per litre since the last time I checked, so the gamble is: Buy now while the price is relatively low, but oil prices still seem to be dropping if forecourt petrol prices are anything to go by.

  itms me again quick recap i own a pug 306 1.9 td meridian t plate with 106 on the clock, the dial with which you adjust the heat has gone, it just turns round and round, without adjusting the temparature, and although it is on mildly warm at the moment in these cold days it is too cold and in summer it just adds to the heat, how would i go about getting this prob fixed and could you give a projected cost on this job, it would be very much appreciated, it also has a/c as well if that makes any difference. thanking you in advance

  Hi all I have asked this questio ona nother forum, but so far no-one has been able to help, so I thought I'd try it here - apologies for repetition. My friend has an R Reg Clio 1.4, and the driver side windscreen wiper managed to disconnect itself from the mechanism and pivot past the side of the windscreen. There was also a smell of burning, not unlike a scalextric set. I had a look under the panel where the jack is housed, the linkage from the motor had fallen/popped off the end of the wiper arm.

  It's not had a new windscreen to my knowledge, nor have the door cards/seals been off, and the carpet is dry at the sides/door bottoms. I have noticed a couple of small splits in the windscreen surround, both sides of the car (drivers side is definitely dry inside), but I think these are more cosmetic, the screen bonded underneath?

  Had an inch or so of horrible wet snow last night, then skies cleared so it froze to windscreen etc. Took a while to clear from mine and SWMBo's cars this morning but was amazed how many people were driving with obscured rear screens and even some with only a small aperture cleared on windscreen.

  Money well spent as this car may have to last me a few years yet, although it left the current account looking a bit poorly. Yesterday evening the heating failed whilst driving.... then the temperature gauge started its inexorable climb....

  However the biggest issue with this unit is the laughable mounting design. The marketing pictures and videos show the unit simply plugging onto the windscreen holder. Not a chance. The very basic cheap plastic clip that attaches the unit is really difficult to use and needs 2 hands and a lot of swearing. Almost impossible to do when holding in your hands impossible when attached to the windscreen without pulling out of the windscreen with holder attached.

  Hello, if you read the tech notes you might have read that i brought a proton coupe off my mate who had had it on his drive for the last 8 months, anyhow was intending to fix the brakes on the rear, handbrake not working then valet and sell for a tiny profit, any way, i got it back home saturday after picking it up and it drove really well, not sure why i was suprised for an S reg, any way did the valet, looked nice cleaned the recaro's up lovely then proceeded to take it the petrol station when half way there at 40mph realised i had not shut the bonnett, so it flew up demoloshing the windscreen and bending the bonnett quite bad. Stupid i know but these things happen, just glad it wasnt my company car!! my predicament now is what to do with this car, i dont have vast amounts of cash, i can get a new windscreen for £60 off the insurance but would not claim as its not worth it, is it worth getting this done, fixing the bonnett then selling it hopefully for £7 - 800 or should i just cut my losses and wack it on ebay with the broken windscreen for someone to collect, surely i would get something for it, 1.8 engine full stainless exhaust, recaro interior??
