I sold my car from the local church car park to avoid prosecution for street trading.

When I have sold a car recently, rather then leave it on the street with a for sale notice in the window and risk prosecution for illegal street trading, I have placed it, by arrangement with the vicar, on the street-facing car park of the local church hall, with a for sale notice inside the windscreen. When the sale was completed, I gave the vicar £20 for church funds.

Good for you, and for the church hall and for the community. I wonder how many small dealers will now turn church hall car parks into used car lots? Let’s hope they respect the car park’s proper function on Sundays.
