  Being the proud uncle of James, my entire family is investing in child seats. My mum and dad have a (03 model) Nissan Almera, and they have found it impossible to get a child seat to fit. I can't find anything on the Nissan website.. anyone got any advice?

  Twitter on fire tonight as a German auto magazine is reporting that Nissan is set to announce the closure of the Sunderland plant? FWIW, I import from Germany (for the past 26 years) and I've found out today that the minimum charge I will face to make an import from 1st Jan is £55 per shipment, (I will have to make import declarations by law, whether there is any additional duty to pay or not).

  My Nissan dealer has sent photos of the affected areas to Nissan who say it is stone damage and are not interested. I genuinely think this is a copout and the paintwork is not fit for purpose. In view of the age of the car do I have any recourse?

    There was a fix in that you could buy a floor panel section and have welded in. Just learnt that daughters X Trail (Nissan O4) the rear floor panel is suffering badly with rust.  Cannot seem to find a similar solution panel on the Web. Any information guys.   dvd

  Hi, I'm trying to find the manual gearbox oil spec for my 2002 Nissan Almera 1.8 and was wondering if anyone had any idea? I've seen 75W-80 mentioned on the web, Opie Oils say it's an MTF oil that's required and my main dealer say it's 75W-90. I'm a bit confused!

    Otherwise the staff at the main dealer were quite friendly and helpful most probably because........ .   I will never ever by another Nissan again.   It's shame really because I liked this car very much and that was my 3th Nissan, the first one was Almera the gear box has gone after 81000miles.
