Jaguar S-Type (1999 - 2007) - Long term running report on an 04 diesel auto. 1 Aug 2008 (Forum)
ve had it has always hovered around the 35MPG mark, although if you fill it when hot & do a reasonable run up say the A1M then you?ll see 43MPG or so on the trip. It?s been run 95% on Shell V Power although it makes zero difference to the consumption it does make it run a little smoother & since I also get fuel vouchers every 2-3 months it?s worthwhile. So it?s sold back to the dealer it came from, they valued it as a buy in with 84K miles at £7K but actually gave me £10K for it against another S So to overall costs, including 4 x tyres, insurance, finance costs It has cost 29 pence per mile if you use the £10K valuation or 37 PPM if you use £7K. -
Nissan Qashqai 1.6dci diesel 2015 - Nissan QQ - multiple dash lights 17 Nov 2023 (Forum)
Hi there, I have been having issue with my Nissan Qashqai 1.6dci 2015 diesel. Around 3 weeks back, while driving had battery light and Red EML appear, and soon after got s/s failure, forward emergency braking light and traction light. I stopped the car and called breakdown and they diagnosed the Alternator was not charging. Had to drive back home 35 miles on battery, luckily made it. -
Jaguar XF 3.0D S 275 bhp - Confirming the Correct Discs, Pads and Wear Sensor 13 Aug 2023 (Forum)
I am going to replace the front and rear discs and pads on my 2015 X250 XF 3.0D S - it has 355mm discs on the front as I believe all facelift (2012 - 2015) X250 3.0D S models had. Before going ahead and ordering, I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could confirm the discs, pads and sensors below are correct for the car. -
Brass elephant - 2" tall - Lounge artifacts 10 Jul 2010 (Forum)
It hung around on the mantlepieces of childhood, then went anto a draw somewhere, only to re-emerge on the death of my Father, 6 yrs ago. It`s in our lounge now, on a ledge near the gas fire and it`s the only true solid artifact and link though to early childhood. At it`s side is a very modern `smoothed out` body shaped brass pig bought about 10yrs ago. -
Crash in NW London 23 Jul 2009 (Forum)
He said the other car, containing an Indian family with a baby in a child seat, came round a l/h bend - r/h to my BiL of course - apparently out of control, hit the kerb on its own n/s and came across the road, hit a parked car and then crashed head-on into my BiL's car, n/s front to n/s front... 'so he was inside, on the left'. The Auris's air bags deployed, my BiL commenting that the knee-level ones seemed to have been particularly effective in preventing injury, but his wife and daughter, sitting behind each other on the n/s of the car, were both shaken and bruised, his wife who has chronic health problems being severely shocked. -

"Impeding progress"-Strange finger signals.. 7 Aug 2008 (Forum)
Guilty of the modern crime of "impeding another`s progress on the roads" today. White Rose Shopping centre roundabout. Exiting onto RB and about to do a 3/4 circuit to the right. Another car pulled alongside, in left lane while waiting to enter RB. -
Honda - Anyone own a Civic type S? 4 Oct 2007 (Forum)
For the next 10 days I am borrowing a lovely Lexus IS SportCross, but it is thirsty and has to be revved hard to perform...only its build quality stands out...performance is lacklustre and spares costly, and I bet I could'nt get one for £5k anyway! Any feedback or alternative suggestions would be appreciated. s -

Theft or vandalism - which is best? 22 Nov 2005 (Forum)
m pretty chilled about it now (naturally my first thought was to ring my brothers in England and have them pick some Pole at random, kick his teeth out and break his fingers), but my wife summed up my thoughts by saying "I just want to know if they did it to sell them or they did it because it?s a nice car with British plates". I suppose I kind of hope they did it to put a meal on some kid?s table, it?s a poor part of the city, large unemployment blah blah but I really think it?s a spite crime and I tend to dwell on things like that a bit more. -

Now I know the Mondeo lost a bit in its latest incarnation but that's some leap of faith that I'm going to have to take. Or did he mean the Camry rides better on those 18's better than a Mondeo on 18's??? https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/toyota/toyota-camry-hybrid-2019-road-test/ -
