Sticking rear-view mirror on 2 Jan 2004 (Forum)
Hi Just changed the windscreen on my escort (mk4), and was wondering what I could/should use to glue the rear-view mirror back on. Ford seem to have used some sort of spongy black stuff when they stuck it on first hand. The windscreen itself has a black square to fix the mirror to, so I'm not going onto the glass itself. -
Nissan Note (2006 - ) - 07 1.6 demisting 14 Nov 2008 (Forum)
Great car but I'm fed up with continual windscreen misting. I dont want the aircon in winter (also fuel efficiency) as recommended. Anyone else experience this or is it peculiar to my car? -
How unlucky is this? 3 Dec 2003 (Forum)
Money well spent as this car may have to last me a few years yet, although it left the current account looking a bit poorly. Yesterday evening the heating failed whilst driving.... then the temperature gauge started its inexorable climb.... -
Peugeot 307 - Red Stop light and rising temperature gauge issue 7 Nov 2018 (Forum)
I then stop the car, there is nothing actually wrong (i.e. not overheating, water fine, oil fine). Turn the ignition off, restart and the car is back to normal. Then it can happen again, it is really sporadic as to when it happens, it can also happen at low speed too, but definitely no over heating. -
Honda CRV Nissan Qashqai Hyundai Kia Sportage etc. - You see a used SUV you say 7 Feb 2014 (Forum)
A nice drive would be appreciated - I do around 10K miles a year so a bit of comfort would be nice as well as a few toys for winter, heated windscreen, seats, remote starting (is that available anyway?!) 2WD is fine. I've been looking around and have quickly become confused with so many conflicting opinions but a few more are always appreciated. -

Hyundai Santa Fe Diesel Auto 2007 - Can I use heating oil as fuel in an emergency? 23 Nov 2011 (Forum)
I can get down to the house on a tank of diesel from home in the UK but don't want to get stranded. Given that I have a large tank of heating oil at the house could this be used in the Santa Fe in an emergency? I appreciate the tax/ customs and excise issues, I am just looking for a technical comment. I guess I might need to enhance the lubricants in the heating fuel? -
Diesel and heating oil 13 Feb 2010 (Forum)
It's nearly run out of oil, but no-one will supply me with less than 1000 litres, plus they're a bit funny about having the tank inspected first for corrosion etc. (it doesn't have any). It says on the burner to use No.1 heating oil. I don't use it often, but have nearly run out of oil. I recently changed the filter and cleaned the burner, but need more oil. So, can I use diesel instead of No.1 heating oil? That way I can just buy a little as and when. -
Heated/Electric Mirrors 3 May 2003 (Forum)
The heated mirrors I can find (via the fuse illustration on the compartment), which looks like a huge rectangluar block (a relay?) above the fuses. How can you remove them? The cover (it has Lucas on it) came off in my hand with the electric gubbins still attached to the board. -
Detailed car choosing website? 18 Jul 2020 (Forum)
Does anyone know of a website where you can enter what features you would like on a car and it would list the makes and models with those features. I'm talking of things like power folding mirrors, heated seats, reversing camera, heated steering wheel etc. I know that sites like autotrader can give you options of engine size, fuel type and gearbox etc but I am trying to find somewhere that lists all of the features on a car including optional extras and then lists all of the makes and models that have those features? -

Comparing Gas & oil heating. 15 Apr 2010 (Forum)
I use about 2000 litres of home heating of oil each year, is there any way to find out what the equivalent usage in gas consumption would have been. I am finding it hard to really compre the running costs. Here in N. Ireland we only have one gas company so there is very little competition apart from between oil and gas. -
Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 1998 1.4 heating / ventilation problems (petrol) 1 Jan 2009 (Forum)
Hi Folks Could anybody tell me what colour and the location of the heating / ventilation relay. The motor is not working and I want to short out the relay. There are 6 relays and one spare. I am wondering if this is where the relay should be and someone has already messed about with it.
