Primera heating problems 26 Nov 2003 (Forum)
A friend has recently returned to the UK and picked up a dirt cheap '96 N Primera 1.6 SRi to get around for job interviews. He has a problem with heating. To get any noticable heat in the car he has to not only stick the heater control to max, he also has to put the fan on full. Without this, there is barely any warmth in the air coming through the vents. -

Ford Fusion 04 - Leaking coolant, 1.4 Duratec (Fiesta/Fusion) Help! 12 Jul 2014 (Forum)
Hi all, I have a coolant leak. It is actually leaking from underneath the car when the car is hot. The drops of water /coolant are dripping from the aluminium exhaust surround (heat guard whatever) on the passenger side of the car towards the front, so basically somewhere inbetween the handbrake and the middle of the passenger seat, but underneath. -

Hi all I went to see a 4 year old used Honda Hr-V and it has a white patch on the top centre windscreen about 1.5 inch length. I've tried to link two photos to this post. https://ibb.co/bzsqH75 https://ibb.co/Fn0w7hf The dealer is saying it's nothing to worry about but I'm not so sure? -
Skoda - Windscreen chip repair 11 Nov 2010 (Forum)
I'm impressed by that advert on the TV that shows a smiling chappie zapping a chip in a windscreen for free. Looks too good to be true but let that pass. Question--does the chip completely disappear or is the outcome that it just looks better than it was before. If you see what I mean. -
Golf MkIV Windscreen Replacement 25 Nov 2003 (Forum)
I need to get my 2001MY Golf (115PS Diesel) windscreen replaced before the forthcoming 1st MoT test, due to stone damage. As this will be the first glued-in screen I have had replaced, I am nervous about getting a good job done. Does anyone have any recommendation as to supplier, or are there any pitfalls to be aware of? -
Audi A6 Heated Mirrors 31 Oct 2003 (Forum)
The heated mirrors on my 1998 A6 are not working. This applies to driver and passenger sides, although the electric adjustment etc. is fine. I believe this heated system is supposed to be on whenever the ignition is on (does not operate in conjunction with heated rear window). -
Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 1999 1.8 Query about use of rear heated screen 9 Feb 2009 (Forum)
Just a quick question about whether having the rear heated screen switched on whilst the engine is off as you can do with this car (for 10-15 minutes) can do any harm to the battery or does it depend on whether the alternator is working as it should ? -
window sticker removal 1 Jul 2002 (Forum)
Hi I'd like to remove the dealer sticker from the inside of the back window of my car but I'm worried about screwing this up as the sticker sits over some of the heated rear window elements. Any advice as to how to remove the sticker and residue without damaging the heated window elements - e.g. would using something like a hair-dryer to heat up the glue help? -

Utter nightmare since returning from holiday I've noticed that the windscreen de mister fails to direct warm air on to the windscreen. Audi 80 windscreen rubber surround 7 May 2004 (Forum)
Hello all, I would be obliged if anyone could help with my problem.I had my windscreen replaced over 2 years back and the rubber surround has not fitted the same since. It is now loose from both lower corners and along the bottom edge. The ends hardly meet in the middle where a plastic 'bridge' should hold them in place.Could anyone advise me what to use bearing in mind that the rubber surround may have to be removed in the future if I ever need a new windscreen.I have been warned to be careful putting anything on the windscreen as they can cause it to crack due to different expansion rates. -

Any - Lunatic driver 29 Jan 2012 (Forum)
The time was just after 9am and we were travelling in a two plus lane on the nearside of the road.Because of the time the road was busy with mums on their way home and late for work commuters . We were travelling at about 20 mph when a black seat Leon pulled in front of us from the offside lane missing the front of our car by inches .the lunatic driving it undertook a car in the offside lane and then repeated the manoeuvre further down the road ,as we followed him further down the road he was swerving the car from Side to side ,in a manoeuvre similar to the one used by formula 1 drivers to generate heat in tyres . -
Volkswagen Golf - Marks on windscreens 4 Feb 2014 (Forum)
My last two cars have been new Volkswagen Golfs. When the inside of the car's screens mist up you can see circles on the screen where the suction pads were located when the screens were installed during production.
