  As I have a works van and what with lockdown restrictions I still haven't really used my new car on a regular daily basis probably done less than 300 miles since I've had it  As I bought it for social reasons days out etc In all honesty been wanting to give it a good motorway run for a while but reluctant due to the £200  fine of breaching lockdown !

  So I think that for a net outlay of 4-4.5k SWMBO could end up with a brand new 1.4, 5dr i20 complete with the five-year warranty. There is nothing wrong with her Yaris at the moment, but in five years time it will be 11 years old and although we don't need a new car the opportunity to upgrade for such a relatively small sum seems very attractive.

  At 3:30 i get a call from the girl on the service desk saying its not good news, the "head is cracked" i asked her what caused this and she basically said driving too fast or long motorway runs, i explained i need my car for business use, therefore it is of no benefit to me to abuse it. Anyway i arrive at 4 and talk straight to the mechanic, who showed me the cracks, i showed the girl from the desk the problem, she said the service manager is coming in the morning to get a fuel sample analysed, i explained this should be under warranty she says talk to this guy tomorrow etc, etc blah blah.

  But we'll leave that for now... The Air-con was lovely and cold when I picked the car up, I've been using the car (and thus the air-con) 2 or 3 times a week since, and over the last week or so have noticed it's not been managing to get as cold as it was when I picked it up, to the point this weekend where it wasn't changing the temperature of the air at all.

  I now have and I've done a first review: After two years and 32,000 largely trouble free miles (two minor warranty claims) in a 140 PS A3 with DSG I decided to upgrade to the 170 version with DSG (now S tronic). The car was ordered in the second week of March and I took delivery on Thursday. Changes to the car It?

  Also THEY ARE UNABLE TO CONFIRM THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE TURBO FAILURE! Now, given that the car is only 5.5 years old, has only done 41,000 miles and has a FULL SKODA DEALER SERVICE HISTORY, I would expect that Skoda would take some responsibility for this PREMATURE TURBO FAILURE. However, they are saying that as the car is out of warranty (only 3 years with Skoda!)
• Citroen C5 (2001 - 2008) - 2002 2.0 HDI (110bhp) SX - Engine noise 27 Jun 2009 (Forum)
  They said it needed a new cam belt as the old one was damaged due to the faulty belt. (I have the belt they took off the car and there isnt a mark on it at all) So I had to take it back the next week to have the belt changed - not under warranty as its a wear and tear item. This then made the noise change slightly but within a week it was back.

  Any suggestions anyone ??? The car is under warrnty until April04, but it has taken more than 6 months to get no-where and I am concerned it may go out of warranty before a solution is found, and I could end up with some verybig diagnostic bills !

  My patience has been tried sorely these past few weeks. Wife's car was parked o/s our house, in the street, 3 weeks ago and was clonked hard by a local council minibus, meaning the car will need a new wing. Fortunately for us, as the minibus drove off without stopping, my local newsagent directly across a main road (we're at the head of a T junction, in a side road) witnessed it and recorded the make, model and registration number.... so i got him to sign and date it and kept his note for evidence.

  On our return I took the car to our local Honda dealer and mentioned this problem to them. Their response was that I was probably not used to this car. I then asked them if they could road test this car for me and was told that they could but it would cost me £80 or so.

  Saxo Hi Guys and Gals, Could really use some advice, basically my Saxo 99? S Reg 1.4 WestCoast has caused me no end of problems over the last few months. It all started when the car would no longer idle. I?d start the ignition and it?d drop below 1000 and cut out- this got gradually worse over time- I could drive it if I revved it hard.

  I was advised that if the problem continued, they would require the car to be left for the whole day, rather than just a single afternoon. The dealer also advised that the car chassis number did not fall within the range of cars affected by the crankshaft pulley bolt failure.

  Regardless of temperature, When accelerating hard, the car accelerates in "steps", instead of the rev counter moving in a smooth way, it rises in 200rpm jumps. Again this can be felt in the car, almost like you were tapping and releasing the accelerator. When you stop the car there is a brief "mechanical" / metal rattle - which may be irrelevant.

  Hey i made a post the other day explaining the issue with my car and it turns out i was right but im unable to return the car for another just wanting to see if i have any rights. I got a new car on purchase hire 3 days ago, it was dropped off to my front door, i had never driven it as it was being delivered from another part of the country.

         Had since new on lease, no trouble at all except “Connect” system when car was about 2.5yrs old it started: Radio and CD cutting out, Phone dropping calls, Sat Nav not working correctly, Nissan couldn’t find a fault ordered new system whilst car under warranty

  Honestly, I can go on. I have been without my car for 10 months now and its sitting on my drive un-drivable mainly because me and my family are NOT getting in a car that can/would kill us. I have a strong set of research and public that is already backing me up in relation to Mazda's lies & money grabbing techniques.

  They last had a replacement fuel pressure regulator fitted to their car in August 4 th this year, 2010. It failed on October 5 th of this year. They contacted Renault to order a replacement to be supplied free of charge under the 12 month warranty provided on the part only to be told that there were none in stock at their local dealership.

  I bought a Fabia Elegance Estate 105bhp Tdi in July,  to replace my 8 year old 1.9 Tdi.  What a difference! The new car is fitted with Dunlop Sport Maxx 205/45/R16 83W (168mph rated tyes) which give an appallingly harsh, jittery & noisy ride. This is the only wheel/tyre size available on the Elegance, although the identical car with an SE trim, is supplied with 195/55 R15 85H as standard, but with the option to "upgrade" to 205/45/R16.

  s sold back to the dealer it came from, they valued it as a buy in with 84K miles at £7K but actually gave me £10K for it against another S So to overall costs, including 4 x tyres, insurance, finance costs It has cost 29 pence per mile if you use the £10K valuation or 37 PPM if you use £7K. I loved it to bits & it has to be the first car I?ve EVER owned where I was happy to buy the same again & have just done so (details later!)
