  So, for its 95th company birthday, the Techno-Classica organiser SIHA, ensured that the marque was celebrated in style, surrounded by some of the most exclusive dealers and auction houses. The cars on display included Zagato specials from Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Maserati, and Lancia. The Alfa Romeo TZ (for Tubolare Zagato, above) and 1900 SSZ (below) are typical of the company's amazing back-catalogue.

  Goodwood Festival of Speed: Supercars to take centre stage 5 Jul 2013 (News)
  Visitors will be able to get up close to the cars as there’ll be a huge static display taking place near the Festival of Speed TECH dome. The Ferrari SP12 EC, Maserati Ghibli and Nissan 370Z Nismo will be shown for the first time in the UK, while visitors will also get a chance to see the launch of the Peugeot Onyx and Renault Twin’Run.  Rolls-Royce is promising a special display, with the launch of its new Wraith, while Aston Martin will be showing off its prototype Rapide Bertone Jet 2+2.

  Chris Routledge, managing partner at Coys, said, ‘We have been holding sales at Ascot for over ten years, but this one was the most successful ever, achieving two world records.’ Other highlights of the classic car auction included a 1960 Maserati 3500GT (£110,000), a 1918 Bianchi Sport (£72,000), a 1948 Fiat 1100S Berlinetta (£57,800), a 1992 Ferrari 512TR (£117,160) and a 1935 Riley Imp 9HP (£75,720).   Stirling Moss leads record-breaking Silverstone parade 30 Jul 2014 (News)
  Racing legend Moss led 84 cars – the largest collection of Grand Prix cars ever assembled – around the famous Northamptonshire circuit at the Silverstone Classic on Sunday, 27 July. Moss led the parade in a Maserati 250F and was joined at the front by David Brabham, son of three-time World Champion Jack, who passed away earlier this year. David drove a Brabham BT24. An incredible array of GP cars followed the two racing legends, including several pre-Second World War machines from the Brooklands era, right up to Lotuses and Williams from the more modern DFV era.

  Rolls Royce Phantom DHC Sells for £195,500 at BCA Blackbushe 14 Aug 2010 (News)
    The sale on behalf of Lex Autolease featured over 300 cars including a tempting selection of top-drawer vehicles such as Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche and Maserati.   In total, 266 cars sold and generated a turnover of £4 million plus for an average selling price of £15,125.

And a rare 1962 Maserati Sebring Series I, thought to be one of only ten made, sold for £196,875, and a 1987 Ferraris Testarossa, beautifully maintained with just 12,425 miles from new, sold for £120,375.   Classic Jaguars to woo the Revival crowd 12 Sep 2013 (News)
  Jaguar XK140s promise exciting racing in the Fordwater Trophy for production-based sports cars of a type that raced between 1955 and 1960, and a number of D-types will be vying for victory in the Sussex Trophy, competing against contemporary sports cars from Ferrari, Maserati and Aston Martin. More than a dozen E-types and E-type lightweights will compete in the hard-fought two-driver Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration race for closed-cockpit GT cars. The popular St Mary’s Trophy for 1960s saloon cars (below) will have a special poignancy this year as the race is dedicated to the memory of the great driver, racing team manager and renowned Guildford Jaguar dealer John Coombs.  Coombs achieved fame with his racing Jaguar Mk2s, with the distinctive registration plates BUY 1 and BUY 2, as often driven by such motor racing greats as Graham Hill.  Appropriately ex-Coombs Jaguar Mk2s will be completing in the St Mary’s Trophy over the Revival weekend.

  Highlights include Mustangs, Sunbeam Tigers and TVR Tuscans from the 1960s, and the 'Future Classics' in series, which you'll find a selection of cars (whiched we'd say are already classics) ranging from Alfasuds to a Maserati Bora. It's a 40 minute race with a pit stop. For those who like hot hatches and touring cars, the 'Tin Tops' series will entertain. Completing the 'CSCC' set of races are the 'Magnificent Sevens' where Caterhams are the dominant force, but Westfields, Lotus 7s and Locosts are also free to join in.
