  Hello, An annoying rattle, at 1000 to 1300rpm, from the underneath of the car prompted a visit to the place where I had a replacement exhaust fitted a year ago. (Non-franchise, small group, tyre & exhaust, MOT and service outfit: DEXEL, recommended). They popped it on the lift and a few minutes later told me the rattle was the heat shield tapping on the body.

  Hi, I have a 2002 ('52 plate) Saab 9-3 Cabrio with just over 60K miles. When I switch off the car there is a humming noise coming from the sensor that sits between the switches for the heated seats. I don't know what this actually does, I was wondering if anybody knew and can I disconnect it or must it be replaced?

  Temp Gauge 90c as standard. But no heat from Heater.??? Temp Light is flashing & beeping. Water level ok..No leaks.... Have topped up water in anti freeze bottle a few times & beeping stopped. Then the heat failed later on.. would a low coolant level cause NO HEAT.

    pulled out the fuel pressure regulator at the weekend and blew it out with a air hose, all was clean there. plugged the computer in and one  injector was injecting too much fuel, got that one changed and still happening. I also have a red stop light with temp light coming on only when cab blower is on with front windscreen setting, once I change to the feet or face setting it stops,  lots say its the fan motor gone, any advise on both thanks N.P

  Processed an extremely tatty 2005 '05 reg Passat today with 17k up so ready for disposal. What shocked me though was the state the car had got itself into. All tyres worn with front two nearly bald on inside edges, cracked rear lense and chipped and cracked windscreen. I'm not an expert but i'm sure all these points would fail a MOT test.

  My problem with this was as follows, the sun was low, the roads were still slippy, and we were doing the speed limit through a residential area, I had left a safe distance from the car in front, his bullbars were just a few feet from my bumper. Oh, and he was reaching into the passenger footwell so that he could get his mobile to make a call. Then I remembered a piece of advice that I read, maybe on this very forum, i can't remember.

  Why would a car be designed to use a/c when it was trying to heat? I know the heat is effectively free, but the a/c compressor must put some load on the engine. I guess I should keep the a/c off when I don't need it in future.

  Hi Guys, I have a problem with a bad egg smell from the windscreen washer. This is a result of leaving plain water in there for too long. Slap. I'm wondering what is the best way to eradicate the smell. If I just keep filling it with a good washer solution will it go eventually?

  For a long time there had been none of the menace windscreen cleaners at junctions, but over the last week they've sprung up again at Hanger Lane Gyratory, Vauxhall bridge and on the south circular at Streatham, to name a few I thought this practice had been banned they are such a nuisance and always hold up traffic when the lights change, because it's in their benefit to do so. how do others feel about them and stop them from doing their windscreen - if a polite refuseal doesn't dissuade them I put the windscreen wipers on -.

  I have an odd heating problem that has just suddenly stated.  The AC is fine but I only get mild warm heat on max setting for drivers side.  On Passenger side it is only cold regardless of temperature settings.
