  I thought my washers had frozen so cleaned them with a pin. I then tried the washers and no jet onto the windscreen...checked the fluid and it was OK- not frozen. The fluid was coming out of the jet at a good rate but wasnt jetting onto the screen. When I looked again I couldnt see a  fine nozzle for the jet as you normally see.

  My question is this: the AA nudge me in the direction of Autoglass. Will I be assured of getting a near-identical windscreen ie same perimeter dot pattern, same overall tint etc? Somehow I feel slightly nervous about this. Any advice, comments, experiences good or bad? Any other recommended suppliers?

  I have refilled the windscreen Wash reservoir of my Peugeot 406 and seem to have a problem with the mechanism. On testing the \'wash and wipe \' system no fluid came through - I then found that somehow it had drained onto the ground and there were signs of the fluid splashing in the area of the reservoir - although the cap was tight.

  Always switch the power off if out of the house. Nevertheless it is perhaps a bad design to have no front panel power switch AND to be on by default when its power is reconnected.

  Spray cans are out. Current day. Everyone has memories of scratched screens and don`t want to repeat it. Cars sit on drives, the heater defrosts, because we know in our hearts, man made `global warming` is a con. And because to be honest we don`t care. What with the stuff put out by the undersea volcanic activity on the mid atlantic ridge, the factories in China and above all the heating of the airways by TV personalities `gone bad`.
