  Hello. The windscreen washer in my Yaris recently packed up. The rear washer is fine as it has its own pump. Is it easy to replace the front washer pump as the pumps themselves are pretty cheap. I don't want to get stung with an expensive garage bill for a relatively minor problem.

    I can’t necessarily stop to operate a control, e.g. on a motorway with a sudden cold shower of rain will require me to change the heating control to stop the windscreen fogging up. However on the newer cars more of these controls are on a touch screen, and it’s almost impossible to find the button without taking your eyes off the road.

  Im amazed someone can buy a brand new car but not 'see' the windscreen built in heating element and seats that do not meet their needs. Do these people make do with a 10 minute test drive? Before buying any new car Ive always insisted on upto half a day's test drive and if the dealer doesnt agree, I go elsewhere.

  My Corsa is actually pretty good for this and the rear screen heater clears in about 1 minute which is very impressive. However sometimes the windscreen still mysts up a little bit, mainly when I have cleared it, gone to a job, got back into the car and it mysts it is only slight but enough to be ilegal to drive until I clear it. I leave the heating setting on dimist even when the ignition is off, I assume this makes the problem worse?

  The liquid coming from the windscreen washers has recently got thicker. It looks quite greasy. I take it this is probably due to lower temperatures. Does it mean I have too much screen wash in the bottle or too little? To clean the bottle out you have to remove the front bumper.

  Non leather interior. Built in SatNav but no SD card, heated front and wear windscreen. Car sold with MOT until end of April 13. Also, under extended warranty with WarrantyDirect  until June 13 or 74k miles whichever is sooner. Fully transferable to new owner.

  Well, obviously there are a few (!) but the one that I'm interested in is that If anything strikes sharply the windscreen of a car when a French person is driving, they immediately press on the inside of the windscreen with their thumb or finger for a couple of seconds (this is when there is no visible damage by the way).

  Don`t you think modern cars are becoming more like `road slugs` in style when viewed from the side? Sure, there are short slugs and long slugs, but there you are peeping out of the little breathing hole in the side, with that enormous raked windscreen, raked almost to the horizontal in front of you and you have to do the limbo to get in under it.

  I took it with mileage of 29 in Feb 2000, it had been sitting on a dealer forecourt for close on six months, so I got a good price. I've always followed Hon John's advice and changed the oil every 5k or six months and the car has never let me down in 173k.The trim that seals the front screen to the body now protrudes at both front top corners. The screen was replaced maybe fifteen years ago. The glass is fine, my question is, this plastic trim is quite solid, is there an adhesive that can be applied and it fix it back as water is now able to drain in behind the plastic.

• Ford Mondeo Estate - Heated washer jets loom fault 10 Apr 2018 (Forum)
  I'm in Latvia at present and yesterday, upon starting my Mk III Mondeo TDCI, smoke issued from the bonnet, close to  the windscreen. Upon inspection, it appears the loom for the heated washer jets has burnt out. Wonder if anyone can copy that part of the circuit diagram for me, so I can rewire it when I've ascertained which jet/s need replacing, if any.
