  I drive a 88 Polo CL which for the nearly 5 years I've owned it has had a bit of a leak. I only realised when the carpets in the front footwells were saturated with water. I've been informed that something to do with the back windscreen but if this is the case how come its only the carpet in the front that gets wet? Not sure I want to spend money getting it fixed (unless I cover the car in bathroom sealant) but am curious as to what it could be.

  My wiper wash stopped the other day and I guessed it was empty, so filled the resevoir with a strong mix and it seemed to have been empty. Now, no liquid appears at front or rear and resevoir remains full to the brim. Any ideas what I should be looking at ? Thanks

  My focus has started to develop an eggy smell when the blowers are on full, more when the hot it on, or when its directed at the windscreen. After a while the smell goes and you can run the heater and it usually doesnt come back, if you turn it onto heat/windscreen again it comes back for a bit. Im told theres only 1 cat and its in the manifold.

  Hi, 1992 (J reg) Ford Escort Ive got a problem with the air flow. everything seems to work fine - the fan blows, air comes out the front vents (into the car) and the lower (footwell) vents but not out the top (onto the windscreen) Well that not strictly true, if you fiddle with the knob that directs the airflow to the respective vents you can get some air onto the windscreen - as long as the knob is inbetween the top and bottom air vent settings.
