maybe some people know this, but one can save around 15% on fuel through adding for petrol .17ml to 1 litre of petrol and diesel.13ml/litre diesel of pure acetone ,it also after a tank or so will produce hardly any emissions,as nearly everything gets properly burnt,it also cleans one's engine up nicely,no coke build up Get a syringe & just squirt it in after filling ones tank up.. -

Any - Marketing speak - when reality departs 20 Jun 2011 (Forum)
Browsing the Skoda Yeti microsite, I stumbled across this nugget of engineering know-how when referring to the new Greenline II model... A turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine with direct high-pressure fuel injection and a solid particle filter significantly contributes to the car’s top-quality handling. Could any members please enlighten me as to the specific handling merits of the Diesel Particulate Filter? -
What car for me? 9 Jan 2010 (Forum)
Hi guys, I drive an '01 Picasso 1.6 petrol and LOVE the spacious interior. Sick of fuel prices and sick of road tax prices. I like the 62mpg of the diesel Nemo, it also cost 35 quid a year to tax it, also it seems to be another spacious beast. At around the ten grand mark for an ex demo model what do you think my alternative options are? -

Why is diesel more expensive than petrol? 8 Mar 2012 (Forum)
Crude awakening asked HJ and he replied :- Why does diesel fuel cost up to eight pence per litre more than petrol? It features a lower fraction of the crude oil from which it is made, requires less processing and is used in volume by commercial vehicles, so should be cheaper. -
Citeon c3 - Deisel leak please help 3 Jul 2011 (Forum)
I bought a 1.4 diesel c3 52 plate and filled it up with diesel then when I got home diesel started spilling from the petrol tank. I have just found out that the petrol tanks are plastic so it can't rust. I do know it's spilling from the top of the tank So I haven't damaged it while driving. -
Honda Accord - Petrol in diesel car 2 Dec 2010 (Forum)
I filled up 11 litres petrol in my Accord 2.2 i-CTDi 56reg. When I realise it I had put in 11 litres so then I topped it up with diesel and filled the tank as much as I could. Drove it home which is about 10 miles. Car was absolutely fine, nothing abnormal like no hickups, smoke from the exhaust etc.. What shall I do now? Shall I get the tank drained completely and replace the fuel filtre (suggested by someone) or just drain about 20/30 litres from it and fill it up with diesel? -
Diesel economy from cold 5 May 2009 (Forum)
Me and my better half are still getting used to the joys of a diesel but one interesting finding came up in conversation the other night. To be honest we are trying to outdo each other on fuel economy (average per tank) Where we live is not far from a main motorway that we both use. -
Ford Focus III (2008 - ) - Petrol vs. diesel 11 Oct 2008 (Forum)
Settled on replacing SWMBO's 1.3 Corolla with a Focus, which fulfils her criteria of not being showy, cheap to run, reliable and big enough but not too big. 1.6 engine. It will do 8,000 miles a year, and I calculate (allowing for differentials in fuel costs, servicing, mpg, road tax) that Drivethedeal's prices would allow us to recoup the additional premium for a diesel car over a petrol one in 3 years. These calcs based on a Zetec. So ... which is it to be? -
