Mitsubishi Shogun/Pajero (1991 - 1999) - 1996 3.0 ignition system 2 Sep 2008 (Forum)
Hi, 96 Shogun 3.0ltr 24 valve Does anyone have a diagram or info as to which plug lead goes to which coil pack. I have a misfire, and previous owner has marked up leads and coil packs with numbers. However, the leads and the coil packs are not corresponding to the markings and if i change so they do, then it will not start. -
Urgent Focus engine mgnt light question? 5 Jul 2006 (Forum)
Hello, My dad has bought a Focus, 2002 2.0 Ghia, he went to clean under the bonnet (OK, perhaps unwise) and disconnected the plug leads. He clearly did not reconnect one leade properly because the car ran on three cyls when started, he checked and found the loose plug lead and now it runs fine on four cyls however the engine managment light is on and the dealer want £50 to reset it. -

E30 318i / 1994 / Tourer. - Fluctuating engine,lights & fan after new HT Leads 19 Feb 2013 (Forum)
I had a problem with my E30 318i stuttering, and thought it may be a fuel problem, but before replacing the fuel filter, I thought I'd replace the spark plugs and HT leads (number two lead had a burn hole in it), these had not been renewed for several years. About a week or so ago, I replaced the spark plugs and HT Leads, barr one, the number one spark lead (with the sensor cable on it), after having disconnected the negative wire to the battery 'first'. -

Faltering Micra 13 May 2003 (Forum)
I own a 1993 Nissan Micra 1.0 with 66,000 miles on the clock which has recently started faltering slightly when accelerating (particularly in 2nd and 3rd gear). The engine has also begun idling unevenly. All hoses etc. seem okay but I have checked the HT leads and found that one of them has some oil at the end along with a small quantity of oil around the top of the spark plug at the base of the hole. The rest of the leads appear clean. The HT lead seems the most likely problem but does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? -
Omega: plugs, leads & distributor 20 Feb 2003 (Forum)
Vx Omega 2.0 16V What HT leads should I use? Vauxhall ones or Halfords, or Bosch or some other? Same question for spark plugs, how do you know what plugs to use because the Vauxhall ones have no ratings on them. How do I know if the distributor is any good, I am going to remove it tomorrow, how do I remove it? -

Ford Ka - Missfire only on full throttle? 10 Apr 2010 (Forum)
Im beginning to think maybe its burnt out a valve with it being driven with a missfire, although it was fine after the new coil and leads for a couple of weeks? Also, Is the exhaust blowing apart just pure coincedence? And finally, does anyone think that its cheap leads/coil thats causing it? I dont want to go and buy another decent set only to find they're the same?! -

Ford Mondeo Estate - Large chain car audio/spare parts 17 Apr 2016 (Forum)
It was a very good deal for the stereo (£70) so I did some research on ford forum websites and it transpires you need a special (connects 2 Can Bus compliant lead). I re-ordered the stereo and the new lead (£45 on Amazon). Plugged the new one in and everything worked fantastic. My question is; if I can figure out why the stereo wouldn't work the suggested lead from large chain car audio co. why can't they? -

Skoda wait times ? 13 Mar 2023 (Forum)
Doesn’t anyone happen to know the current lead times for a Skoda Octavia? My neighbour visited 2 dealerships yesterday and neither were able to confirm a lead time regardless of what version they ordered (they want a petrol engine non VRS hatchback/saloon version if that helps). -
Honest John’s Motoring Agony Column 03-02-2018 Part 2 9 Feb 2018 (Forum)
A tin box with a lid will act to shield the signal contrary to HJ's opinion. The reference to a lead lining is also misleading. Lead is used to provide shielding from nuclear radiation and is not necessary here. -
