The five-door SUV provides a hint at what electrified Skodas could look like, with autonomous driving capability and an all-electric range of 311 miles. A restored 1972 Jaguar E-type SIII 5.3 V12 Roadster sold for £57,200, while a left-hand drive 1974 Jaguar E-type SIII V12 Roadster sold for £55,000. A barn-find, UK supplied, right-hand drive, manual 1973 Jaguar E-type SIII V12 Roadster, that had been laid up for 20 years, sold for £44,000. -

Jaguar Land Rover Classic is to get its own headquarters. The business, which offers classic car sales, restorations, parts supply and driving experiences to Jaguar and Land Rover owners and enthusiasts, will have a new £7.5m home in Coventry, England. Due to open early in 2017, it will be based near to the Jaguar Land Rover SVO technical centre – an all-new, £20m hub of specialist vehicle personalisation, assembly and finishing. -

Offered at no reserve, the car, built in 1961 and first registered in 1962, was stripped, rebuilt and converted to a right hand drive car by the current owner who purchased it in California Inspired by the docu-drama 'Across the Lake', about Sir Donald Campbell (played by Anthony Hopkins) i n which Hopkins drives a blue 1961 Jaguar E-type FHC, the vendor restored this car to emulate Campbell's. -

The interior is finished with durable, outdoor-inspired materials and can even be hosed down when it gets dirty, thanks to integrated drainage in the foot wells. There's no four-wheel drive to speak of, but the Cactus M does get Citroen’s Grip Control system to help the front-wheels find grip on slippery surfaces, such as mud or wet grass. -
Volkswagen shows GTE Sport extreme plug-in hybrid 15 May 2015 (News)
Its plug-in petrol-electric hybrid drivetrain propels it to 62mph in 4.3 seconds and on to 174mph, by combining a 299PS 1.6-litre turbo engine with twin 115PS electric motors, for a total 400PS output and four-wheel drive. Despite that it returns 117.6mpg on average, says Volkswagen, and it can drive around 30 miles on battery power alone. Its carbon fibre construction makes it much lighter than the average plug-in hybrid, although if it ever does make production that will be scaled back – as will its unusual interior, which only seats two, each in their own monocoque-style area.
