Motorists 'happy with their Skoda vehicles' 18 Apr 2008 (News)
The Driver Power survey from the publication saw 32,000 motorists give feedback on around 6,000 cars. Some 85 per cent of people responded that they were happy with their Skoda, ranking the company as the second-best performing manufacturer. This follows the firm's recognition as the best manufacturer in Top Gear magazine last year. -

The model can hit 62 mph in 13.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 75 mph, Volkswagen stated. It added that the automobile runs on 12 lithium-ion batteries linked to a high-temperature fuel cell, pioneering technology preferable to low-temperate alternatives. -
Development of eco-friendly vehicles receives £20m funding 24 Sep 2007 (News)
The government will make the funding available to in order to cut down on the amount of CO2 emitted by cars every day. It added that road transport accounted for 20 per cent of domestic emissions in the UK each day. According to transport minister Jim Fitzpatrick, this needs to be reduced. -
