  Citroen’s new C3 suddenly became a lot more serious with the announcement that stocks are now arriving of its 92bhp 1.4 HDI 16v. The C3 is the first car to get this new engine, which offers 0-60 in 11.4 seconds, a top speed of 110mph, a combined economy figure of 65.7mpg and CO2 emissions of 112g/km which puts it in the £80 a year VED category for diesels.

According to one of the dealers, 'there’s  money in Brass.' Basically, pre-WW1 cars are becoming increasingly collectable by investors. The extraordinary 1935 Mercedes-Benz 290 ‘Lang’ Pullman limousine ran out of bids at a disappointing £57,000. Disappointing because to restore that much car to that standard would cost upwards of £200,000.
