BMW may be doing a Clio V6 style Mini. 10 Apr 2005 (Forum)
Heard over the weekend that as a run-out for the current style Mini, BMW are going to produce either a 270 BHP front engined car or a mid-engined version Renault Clio V6 style. The front engined car is up and running and being tested but as I was getting a bit Brahms, I cannot remember whether a prototype has been produced for a mid-engined car....annoyingly as I would love to know there was! -

Looking through bmw website. they are quoting for a 330ci se between Extra-urban (mpg) 40.9 (40.4) Combined (mpg) 31.0 (29.4) figures in brackets are for an auto and a 320ci se Extra-urban (mpg) 40.9 (38.7) Combined (mpg) 31.7 (30.1) so between a 2.2 and a 3 litre, there is only 1 mpg in it? -

A "prestige" car showroom (no names, no pack drill) near me has a line of BMWs along its forecourt. Each and every one has its rear offside wheel up on top of a car ramp (15" tall?). The remaining three wheels are left on the ground. It's to display the cars at a racy angle, it appears. -
BMW E36 clutch squeak 3 Mar 2004 (Forum)
I have a 93 BMW 318iS. Ever since I bought it there has been an intermittent sqeak when operating the clutch, with the clutch action getting heavy. This occurred both before & after a new clutch was fitted. The problem seems to lie with the actuating pushrod from the clutch slave cylinder. -

I wondered if it is something in the lever mechanisim that can be replaced. At the local dealers discount rate for older BMWs of £60 per hour I am reluctant to go to them first. Cheers Peter C -

Hello, My father has a BMW 5 Series, 2.5 TD 1996. In the past week he has had problems when starting the car first thing in the morning. The car will start, then after a second, suddenly cut out, and it takes an age for it to start again. -
