Peugeot rear suspension 23 Jun 2003 (Forum)
ve recently noticed that my 306 xsi's rear suspension is not level. The Drivers side is about an inch lower than the n/s. It's constantly like this, but the car feels fine when pushing down on each corner ( falls and rises smoothly ) It?s a '94 with 97000 on clock. I've read that it might be the axle bearings, but no real idea. -
Sharan brakes 4 Mar 2003 (Forum)
My 1998 Sharan has an annoying hissing noise coming from the brake pedal for the last couple of years. It?s present most of the time but not all the time. A slight depression of the pedal stops the hissing. Braking is not affected and the car has just passed it?s MOT. The noise comes from very close to the pedal and is obviously something to do with the servo vacuum. -
323 or 328? 7 Nov 2002 (Forum)
Plus the insurance on a 328 is about £100 more. I'd appreciate comments from anyone but in particular owners of 323's or 328's. Cheers Jamie -

Used BMW 523i 3 Sep 2001 (Forum)
Am thinking about buying a S/H BMW 523i. It was imported from Holland, 97R, one (known) company owner, FBMWSH, ~35K, leather, no crunches, and I believe it's a clean car. 1) What would be a fair value for it (does anyone know a good site for imported s/h values?) -
205 GTI 29 Dec 2000 (Forum)
My 205 GTI runs really eratically on tickover, I understand that this is caused by the fly wheel which on the 1.6's is actually too small, and this worsens as the car ages, Peugeot corrected this problem on the 1.9's with a larger fly wheel. The only thing I have heard of to smooth out tickover is an ecotec valve, which I can get hold of, but is there nothing else to be done? -
Musings on Sat Nav/phones + Google/Nokia maps. 7 Apr 2010 (Forum)
Google needs no expanation, it`s so well known, but it`s mapping needs data downloads as you drive along and one wonders at this point whether it`s seemingly class leading solution is not ahead of the infrastructure of the UK cellular networks capacity - or perhaps even pockets - requiring data plans (.Also seemingly not on S60 here) It`s perhaps less well known that mobile phone company Nokia, bought Sat Nav software manufacturer - Navteq a while back and was offering it on some of their phones free - but charging for voice guidance. -
My 1st month, 3300 miles, with an S-Max 1 Aug 2007 (Forum)
t come across a steep hill. Ride and Handling Simply a revelation!!! For a big car, this really dances. OK, it?s FWD rather than RWD but this is one entertaining car. It would be good even if it was a saloon, the fact it?s an MPV ? that?s a neat trick Ford have pulled off. It you like to have fun in the twisties, I? -

UK pea on China`s drum - Car Manufacture 7 May 2010 (Forum)
That was my impression on meeting business minded relatives on a recent visit. Perhaps we had it coming, with our old Empire and it`s arrogant feather hatted minions, forcing people in their own country to bow to the `superiority` of an imported genteel England into Shanghai. Or was it demanding black pudding and jellied eals instead of accepting and savoring local cuisine?. -
Simple late 90's small car engines - advice needed 13 Oct 2008 (Forum)
I believe the FIAT FIRE engines are very good but ewith my budget £700-£1000 the car is likely to be well tatty by now. I love the 1.25 Ford Zetec S but I am right in the fact these need careful servicing? Something which will be hard to find on the used market. Then there i s the VAG engines, seem to be a bit ove rated from the cars I have seen so far. -
Porsche Boxster 986 + Boxster S (1996 - 2004) - Aftermarket HID headlights 28 Sep 2007 (Forum)
Does anyone have experience of Philips +80's? I have the sport suspension pack & am worried about premature lamp failure due to combination of hard ride, hot bulb & thin filament. -
Mercedes C200 2003 - Misfire problems 18 Aug 2007 (Forum)
Friend?s car (75k miles) is suffering an intermittent fault. Brought to idle a few miles after a cold start it misfires badly. EML sometimes illuminates. Misfire won?t clear until car is switched of and restarted, after which the problem will not occur for the rest of the day. -
how to get a refund due to dodgy car 3 Nov 2005 (Forum)
A little over 7 days since I got my 2002 S80. Handling seems a bit soggy, and ride crashes a fair bit, but figured it?s done 80k, that?s the way it drives. Anyway, took it down some country lanes in Essex to office today and had to slow right down. Car nearly lost grip on back end at 35mph round a bend. Furthermore, driving at JUST 40mph down country lanes leads to a feeling of the front bobbing up and down, and you do not feel that the car is planted to the road at all. -

The cars with fewest votes will remain and the voting process will begin again until we?re left with *hopefully* one (or maybe 2) winner(s).
