  • Skoda Fabia vRS (2003-2007) 19 Jun 2016 (News)
More than any other Skoda, the Fabia vRS changed the perception of the brand and showed that it could produce a fun to drive, high quality and genuinely quick small car. You have to remember too that while diesel hot hatches are pretty common now, in 2003 they were few and far between. The Golf GT TDI (powered by the same engine) was making waves, but it didn’t have the impact the Fabia did.
  • Even Mrs B. is Plugging the Wheeler Dealers book 12 Apr 2015 (News)
There's no self aggrandisement. Just two blokes doing what they love and achieving the impossible of making classic car mechanics entertaining. My particular favourite is the 1945 Willys MB Jeep, because I had one as my second ever car (after a 1959 BMW Isetta that was also the subject of a Wheeler Dealers restoration.)
  • Goodbye to the tax disc 1 Oct 2014 (News)
One of the biggest changes, however, is that VED can no longer be transferred between vehicle owners. This means that when you (as the registered keeper) sell a car, you will automatically receive a refund of any remaining full months of VED once you’ve informed DVLA of the change of ownership. There is no need to fill in a form to claim the refund.  If you’re buying a car, however, you will need to get new vehicle tax in your name before you can legally drive it.
  • Three-wheeler values rising 24 Sep 2014 (News)
Ever since Reliant shut up shop in 2001, bringing to an end more than 65 years of three-wheeler production, values of the most popular models have been strengthening, with late-model cars becoming increasingly sought after. The final Robin of the late-Nineties is attracting particular interest, with asking prices of £4000-6000 not unusual for excellent, low-mileage cars. 'Values are only going one way,' reports Joe Mason, who is also seeing high demand from overseas buyers intent on exporting Reliants from the UK.

  • Ford Might Make Trains 16 Nov 2012 (News)
Add to that the fact that a bus full of people has a lower environmental and resource impact than a car containing one or two people. A train full of people has an even lower environmental and resource impact. So, plainly, assuming people who absolutely need to travel any distance over 5km can walk, cycle or be taken to a means of mass transport efficiently, the answer is trains, or trams.
  • Santa Pod Raceway Gears Up For the Main Event of 2011 20 Apr 2011 (News)
Showcasing the very greatest, fastest, loudest and craziest spectacles in drag racing, the entire weekend gathers the most brutal machines in Europe and pits them head to head in an epic display of rubber burning, nitro-snorting insanity. Both cars and bikes are represented, with many of the 8,000bhp entrants able to hit an incredible 300 mph in well under 5 seconds. If this wasn't impressive enough, on the track, in-between racing, will be the awesome Fireforce 3 Jet Funny Car, plus insane Frenchman Eric Teboul straddling his unhinged rocket-powered bike.
