  I recently purchased a used car from an independent dealer, and gave my old car as part exchange. Prior to picking up the car, the salesperson assured me that all issues with the car would be resolved, including a non-functioning windscreen washer and a missing parking sensor.

  Dad is a fit, healthly and very active 79 year old with a long history of driving decent cars and driving well.  Before his recent car he drove a Subaru Forester Turbo which was a lovely car and he only changed becuase my recently deceased mother found it hard to get into and out of.

  My dad has just placed a deposit on an 08' Toyota Avensis. He asked the saleman who the previous owner was and he was informed it was an ex company car. The logbook said 'ERAC Ltd'. Now from working in the trade i know this is Enterprise Rent A Car. Ive no problems in buying a rental car - most 6 month old cars on the supermarket forcourts are ex rental and if serviced correctly should be as good as anything else out there.

  I being looking at picking up a 12 month old new shape 320d m sport couple. I being looking at the auction route and hopefully will pick up an ex management car if not one of 1 year olds coming off lease. I went to blackbushe and found a number of 08 plate cars going through with delivery miles.

  Hi, Can anyone tell me what levels of fuel consumption they are getting from a 2.2 d4d avensis? I have just bought one brand new old stock and I have had it for 3 weeks now and I am lucky to get 33 mpg out of it. I am old school at 44 and I have been driving it with caution (running in) I have been told this is not nessesary,but old habits die hard.

  A friend of mine has a 10 year old Nissan Qashqai , where the radio / nav system has failed. He called the dealer for the cost of a replacement. A staggering £ 2500 . Just about the value of the car !

  Hi I have a Peugeot 3008 2011 1.6 HDI SPORT I have had a problem with the air bag light coming on and off sometimes could drive for 30 minutes and it comes on or it could be when the heaters are on full. I have changed my car battery has the old one was very low on voltage and thought this was the problem I have had the error read and it comes up with Level 1 driver airbag fault high stop distance ? can anyone please tell me what this is and also has I have put a new car battery on does the error just need removing now or could it be something eles I also have a 5 week old grandson in the car

  The engines in question are Merc's 2.2D, BMW's 2.0D and VAG's 2.0D I know VAG and Mercedes both had issues with their injectors-  but that seems to have been fixed, the only issue I can see with the BMW engine is the tioming chain issue. I want to purchase a car which will be 3 years old.  I want to keep it for 5-6 years if possible so need the most reliable diesel engine.  I am aware of VAG's PD engines but the rest of the car will be too old so it's a no go area really.

  However, if I take the car test and pass, do I automatically get my full bike licence back or do I have to retake that as well?  Does seem unfair if I do as I only had one accident and it was in a car. Do have a copy of my old paper licence, though it is a black and white scan.
