What cheap load lugger would you go for... 27 Jul 2011 (Forum)
Anyone living with these cars? Are they more trouble than they are worth? Struggling to think of alternatives, Pug 406's seem more to insure. Maybe an Octavia? Have looked at something like a Zafira, but its tough to find a cheap one that isnt a wreck. -

Volkswagen Passat - Brake Leak - Caliper Cable Attachment Seal 8 Feb 2011 (Forum)
Hi all, My 2001 Passat (B5)'s rear brake is leaking :( It seems to be coming from the seal between the caliper's cylinder and the parking brake mechanism attached to it, the bit that gets rotated when the cable is pulled. -
Peugeot 306 - Window Wiper problem 7 Feb 2011 (Forum)
Hi all Since buying it in October, I've noticed some strange behaviour from my 306's wipers. The 1 wipe and constant settings work okay, but the intermittent doesn't. It does about 4 wipes at the wrong speed before parking the blades in the middle of the windsdcreen. The fast wipe setting does something similar, though the blades do move at the right speed. -

Volkswagen Passat (1997 - 2000) - 00 rear door deadlocked, won't open 9 Nov 2010 (Forum)
My sons Passat o/s rear door is deadlocked shut & won't unlock. If you pull the lever from inside, the locking pin comes up but even while pulling the lever you can't open the door. As soon as you let go of the lever the pin goes back flush with the door trim. -

Hi all, i'm looking for help on finding a different car to what i have, i currently drive a 1998 Peugeot 306 D Turbo S, 45MPG but is too small and i want something with a bit more power but that does not eat up the MPG and simlar to what i get now I'm haveing a nighmare, i would like a MG ZT CDti Auto (no DMF & clutch issues to worry about) , but finding one with resonable milage and good condition seems very hard if not impossible), so i turned to a MG ZT 190 with LPG, but insurance is near enough nearly a 1K! -
Why do you open the bonnet? 14 Sep 2010 (Forum)
Just hands that smelled of antifreeze and rusty hot water in bed.... Now you`ve got a modern motor - it`s forty years on - when did your palpitating award last pay off - and can your brain still formulate that rotted rubber and hot rusty water smell? Do you think they`ve overdone it - taking the fun out of bonnet opening? -
Hyundai i30 - Retrofit seat height adjuster 11 May 2010 (Forum)
Can anyone advise on the feasibility of retro-fitting the seat height adjuster subframe to the passenger seat? On HUK i30's, cars are fitted with height adjusters (& lumbar) only to the drivers seat, but it would e much better for me if this were also on the passenger side. Sadly the dealers would or could not entertain any special order to include these features for me. -
Worth your weight in salt? Salt & the subrames 27 Apr 2010 (Forum)
Funny how it`s been cherished over thousands of years - although if you were a pre-cow of pre-history it must have been great to have a lick of the salt cake - if your tongue had gone blue due to lack of minerals. -
Mercedes c180 - Merc c180 or Volvo c30 26 Apr 2010 (Forum)
I seem to be able to replace the banger with a nice sports coupe - and am looking at a Merc c180 coupe or Volvo c30. I've seen a few c180's with 20k on the clock for 12k, and its not dissimilar on the c30. I've never had a merc, and have little idea about the running / servicing costs - did once have a smart car and it was expensive. -

Ford Mondeo III - excellent pc based ford diag system for tdcis 27 Mar 2010 (Forum)

Honda Jazz/Fit (2001 - 2008) - Stiff steering 17 Feb 2010 (Forum)
I took a test drive in a same spec vehicle yesterday and found it to be the same! Either both cars have the same fault or JAzz 1.2's have very stiff and heavy steering. I have googled this issue and only found a few references and can't find any references here. Could someone comment about how light/stiff their steering is? Thanks Graham -
