02 2.2DTi lumpy idle,no rev counter,limp home mode - simoncbr900rr
hi have a 2.2dti vectra,driving today i stopped the car,when i came back and started it it was running lumpy on tickover,the rev couter didn`t work and the engine management light came on and put the car in limp home mode(no more than 50mph)...after driving for 5 minutes like this it just cleared and was running perfectly normal again......i stopped again on way home.then i was driving home again all the symptoms cut back in again....anybody help?.....i put some redex injector cleaner in it yesterday,but don`t know if that`s coincidence thanks for anybodys help

do a hj by hj check
its not a good engine im afraid
and you have the worst year imaginable for the problem

i`ve sorted it it`s the crankshaft sensor....if anybody else gets these problems it`s deffo 100% the crankshaft sensor £45 from vauxhall or £20 for a cheap pattern part
