  I was under the impression that the car warranty covers me for the cost of any mechanical and electrical repairs that are needed on my car, including parts and labour.  My associate who also has a BMW(1 series) had his timing chain sorted.He didn't have to pay for the warranty,it came free with the company Lookers.co.uk.They also went to a main dealer,(BMW) and covered all his costs and provided a BMW 3 Series as a courtesy car.

      The car has Servotronic steering which some of my friends think is to blame (ie its normal) BMW have taken the car out and claim they've never seen this issue with other cars but alas they dont have any other 2012 X3s to compare it to ..     The car is still under warrenty so I really want to get this checked out...

  I had a BMW 3 series (2000 reg) earlier which I replaced couple of years back for an Audi A4 2010 model. I rented 3 series 2016 manual model few months back and I loved driving it. I'm looking at upgrading my car (an executive saloon is my choice) - I always love the looks of Jaguar XF (2011+) but in terms of driving pleasure, I would opt for BMW manual.

  It was confirmed that one of the six or seven bidders was a European automaker based out of Munich, which leads many to believe that it is BMW since the two firms once signed an engine purchasing agreement back in 2010. It would be mighty interesting if BMW is able to come out of this one to not only continue producing Saab vehicles, but using their platforms for their own models and even MINI ones.

  I don't have an iPod but, having not got around to it, finally intend to get one to use in conjunction with the optional USB/Aux port I have had fitted in my recently delivered car. BMW provide a "special" lead combining the USB and aux jack on a single lead for use specifically with the iPod, and which apparently provides most of the functionality of the iPod via the iDrive, but this costs £40, which seems a bit steep.

  I have above bmw that I get my intermittently no heating or have to turn temp up to 24 to get a bit of heat , apart from taking to garage any ideas what it can be please or what I can do to diagnose the issue. The engine does not overheat and the temp stays in the middle.

  I'm looking to buy a new used car approx 3 years old.  Am currently looking at a Skoda Karoq, BMW 2 Active Tourer, Audi A3 and Toyota C-HR.  Does anyone have any opinions on any of these please?  Things that are important to me are safety and reliability.  Heated seats and windscreen and reversing cameras are nice to have and  preferably an automatic.

  Hi Folks, Would anyone have any experience or views in changing the automatic gearbox oil/filter on units that are so called 'sealed for life'? I have a 2001 2.2litre 520i with the steptronic box and 72k on the clock. BMW will not even look at the box for servicing or an oil change. Other people I have opinions from say it is a must to do this an not too difficult if you can find a garage willing to do the honours.

  Hi everyone   I have a 2009 BMW E91   The rear wiper spindle is completely seized through the glass and does not rotate the wiper nor move at all  I have tried everything, brute force, penetrating oil and now release fluid but nothing is shifting it   I need to remove the shaft to lubricate with grease clean up and replace I have photos but cannot post on here?

  I have bought 3 new oil caps for my e46 316 bmw and after a few months each start to leak again. When i remove the cap there is positive pressure coming from from filler hole. Is this a common problem with these cars? There is also an oil leak around the dipstick or sump.

  Hi folks - I've just seen this on the car by car breakdown: BMW TSB to replace crankshaft bearings on 1.5 litre 3-cylinder engines. 3 day job. Does not affect 1.2 litre Peugeot Puretech engines I have a 2016 Cooper and am interested in more information - does anyone know the reason behind the TSB and what are the symptoms if any?

  Having just taken delivery of a hybrid BMW I was surprised to be given no information at all about public charging points, and no charging cable to connect to them. The dealer helpfully gave me a cable when I complained (pointing cost of £161) but still no info on what appears to be a bit of a confusing picture of differing charging systems out in the wild..

  Hi, I have been offered an e90 shape 318d. The owner bought it as an ex-demo car when a few months old, it has has bmw service history up to 2013 then any work was done independently  It has covered 150k, what should I be looking out for upon viewing it in terms of mechanical problems specific to this model?

  I have a 2004 auto bmw 530d & when setting off or driving at very low speed & I push accelerator pedal to the floor for quick acceleration nothing happens just slowly goes upto about 20-25 mph with like a 5 seconde lag then shots off at high speed. .

  I have a BMW320DM 2006 plate, it has recently been diagnosed with a snapped crankshaft - do i have recourse to BMW as it must be a manufacturing fault a crankshaft should be fit for purpose for more than 61k miles - BMW have kindly offered to strip down my engine to asses the problem at £185 per hour and may or may not apply some good will to the project. - Do i have any recourse for BMW to pay the whole bill?

  I've just put £50 petrol in my BMW x5 and though I'll try the Redex petrol. After driving about 6 miles the petrol gauge started to drop and the computer millage started to drop like I had an petrol leak. Can any help with the problem as its to much of a coincidence it's a fuel sencor failure?

  My bmw 320d was unused for a month whilst I was recovering from surgery. Since starting to use it again the average fuel consumption over my typical mix of driving has increased by 10mpg from the figure it has been over the last 4 years.

  I noticed the dipstick in my 1 and three quater year onld BMW was badly corroded in October and had it replaced. On checking the car over two months later I notice it is rusty again. This does not sound right to me and sounds like it could be indicative of moisture in the engine.
