BMW 5 Series E60 530d auto - No low end power when trying to pull away quick. - scut
I have a 2004 auto bmw 530d & when setting off or driving at very low speed & I push accelerator pedal to the floor for quick acceleration nothing happens just slowly goes upto about 20-25 mph with like a 5 seconde lag then shots off at high speed. .

Has the gearbox oil ever been changed ?

I think i would check for any split pipe around the air system first if the problem is slow pull away.

A auto box issue with be showing as very high revs and no gear change

Hope you dont have any brakes binding sir(have a feel how hot they are) ..or maybe egr or one or more INJECTORS blocked ..nice car by the way
