  The temp gauge is not getting up to temperature consistently, the radiator fan does operate when car stationary but in the cabin when driving even with the dashboard fan switch on '4' the heating is mediocre !?! My thoughts are, maybe an airlock ? if so, what is the cure? thermostat? cure a new one :-) or maybe the rad cap? cure a new one:-), All helpful suggestions will be much appreciated Fuelmizer
• Looking for quicker small car 4 Dec 2014 (Forum)
   I only do about 5000 miles a year currently, but wanted something that was slightly quicker and more economical i.e. FIesta 1.0T EcoBoost, as I intend to do more driving across the country in the near future.  I'd still expect to do less than 10,000 miles per annum.   What types of car/engine do people recommend?   Thanks.

  Or a similar tracked military vehicle? Any hints or tips, dos and donts? My other half got me one of those 'driving experience' vouchers as a little surprise present for my birthday a while back, and I've got it booked for this Sunday. I'll obviously get tuition on the day but I'm looking forward to it, its on my mind, so I wondered if anyone had any experiences to pass on?

     Many years ago I passed obtained a British Class 2 HGV licence. My career moved away from driving and I have let it expire. It expired around 20 years ago. I would have a few familiarisation lessons as it has been so long, but can anyone advise if I would need to resit a test or is it just a medical I would need to do.

  can anyone help i get in the car ,put the key in and turn on , all the lights come on but it wont start, just a faint buzzing sound from left hand side, leave for an hour try again and it starts fine, next day the same thing, and the day after ,its driving me nuts, the garage has no idea, because when they have the car it dosent happen !!! HELP

  hi driving home from work and got 2short bursts of fuel starve then fine for the rest of the journey .the next day turn over but no start,called rac and crank sensor code2781 came up,replaced the sensor still no start so changed the fuel pump as i notied no fuel pump noise and still wont start any help much appreciated also checked fuel pump relay and fuse

  Hi i am wondering if anyone can help me my car peugeot 106 1.1 independence cut out whilst i was driving i have a full tank of fuel butsays i have none there has been no leaks the car just makes a clicking noise when turning the key it wont start now the electrics in the car dont seem to e working properly any help is much appreciated.

  my timing belt adjuster was loose so i put the car in to have a new one fitted. 8 weeks later and (after driving the car into the garage) the list of repairs are.... 4 new valves new camshaft ecu re programmed..... Apparently, as i turned the ignition off, the timing belt must have slipped and caused all of the above?

  Hello, my daughter's car has a rear view mirror that does not stay put.  Does anyone have the answer as it is driving her nuts.  She has tried sticky pads and glue but it does not stay put.  I think  the road surface plays a large part in th mirror coming adrift but that said any helpful suggestions would be much appreciated.

  gear. I don't know if anyone else has come across this but when I drive my wife's Punto the rev counter seems to stick at the revs that you change gear at when changing up instead of dropping down almost immediately when you take your foot off the pedal. Is this a characteristic of the car, my heavy foot or is there something amiss?

  For those of you who might be visiting switzerland from 01/01/14  You must have dipped lights on when driving from the above date. From this date all local cars must have them fitted if not dipped beam lights on, but the TCS recommend to locals to fit DRL,s or to change the wiring so that the lights come on when the motor is running.

  hi i have recently purchased a 54 plate mazda 6.after driving to work i noticed it misfires at a certain point on accelarator in 5 th gear between 70-80 mph i had a diagnostic check which only came back with egr valve blockage which i have had cleaned can anyone suggest why it would misfire thank you

  My gf has covered 60k totally reliable miles in her '07 Passat Tdi and we had a brief look at the new Skoda Superb. She refuses to drive an estate, and a hatch would be very useful in her next vehicle...company or otherwise. The electronic parking brake is a must, she is addicted to it now!! What other vehicles have this? Removed make and model as not relevant for question, Rob.

  I found if i stay put and push the throttle a couple of times the rev counter settles back to idle speed and then the car drives fine. Any ideas? Is this something to do with the automatic choke perhaps? Suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers

  My honda FRV broke down whilst driving on the motorway.  it was on cruise control and all of sudden began revving on its own and smoke was coming out og exhaust.  we pulled over and switched off the engine. the car revved again fiercly, while switched off and a blinding amount of smoke came out.
