  Other stand out Japanese cars included a Honda Integra, which sold for £12,432, while a high-performance NSX made £53,280.A Mazda RX-7 came in at £41,625, but the big gun was the 2000 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec which after some fabulous and at the start furious bidding brought the hammer down at £62,715. From the same collector of the Japanese cars also came some sporty Europeans. A Renault Clio Sport V6 sold for £34,410 while a 2005 BMW M5 Saloon hit £26,085 before the hammer fell on a Peugeot 205 Rallye at £16,650. With demand for modern classics growing, buyers weren’t disappointed.

  Other highlights of the September Sale included a pre-production 1982 Audi Quattro Coupe, believed to be the first UK right-hand drive example, which sold for £49,500 in original, recommissioned condition after 20 years in storage. A rare, original condition 1984 Renault 5 Turbo 2 in left-hand drive and reading just 16,898 miles far exceeded its guide price selling for £86,625, more than £16,000 above its lower estimate. A UK-supplied, right-hand drive 1971 Maserati Indy 4.7 America stood out among the traditional classics on offer, selling for more than £10,000 above its estimate at £60,750, while a limited edition 2007 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640-4 'Versace' was the star of the future classics at the sale, selling to a bidder in the room for £157,500.

  Dimma UK was founded in 1986 by Terry Pankhurst, as the sole UK importer of the Dimma 205 body kit. Dimma became revered in modified car circles for their project cars, including a Renault Clio with Ford Escort Cosworth running gear. Turbo Technics marketed turbocharger kits for several 1980s cars, including the Rover SD1 and Ford Capri 2.8i. Proprietor Lyn George said: "This car is a real find; and given growing passions for 1980s hot hatchbacks and the Peugeot 205GTi in particular, we're excited to have this great find in the auction.
