• 02 Honda crv - Problem bleeding brakes 31 Dec 2012 (Forum)
  Also new n/s rear caliper. Problem. Cannot get a brake pedal, it's goes to the floor when pressed. Have run at least 3 litres of fluid through it using 2 man bleed. Have tried it with new master cylinder fitted, still same. Any ideas TIA
• Citroen C4 - Vibration at startup / engine off. DMF? 19 Dec 2012 (Forum)
  Could this be a sign of DMF failure. i.e when engine is up to idle speed all is ok, but there is a vibration as the engine is below idle (i.e startup / switch off). Does the DMF rotate all the time when the engine is running, or only when the clutch is engaged?

  Having had to drive today in terrible snow many cars were running without lights and were difficult to see but a yellow car stood out like a sore thumb I dislike yellow as a car colour but it certainly has its places.My car is gunmetal grey metalic lovely colour in my opinion but very difficult to see.

  hi ,ive put a second hand engine in a p reg 214 rover .ive change all the parts over from the old engine ,i have cranked the engine over and ive got petrol running from the exhaust manifold on no 4 cylinder .any ideas ,i thought the valve timing might be out .

  I HAVE A BMW 318I SE 1.9 1999 MODEL WHEN THE CAR IS RUNNING STILL THE TEMP IS FINE. WHEN I DRIVE THE CAR IT STARTS TO OVERHEAT. AND LOOSES WATER I HAVE BLEDED THE COOLING SYSTEM. THE WATER PUMP IS NEW THE RADIATOR HAS A VERY MINOR LEAK. I ALSO NOTICED THAT IT HAS NO THERMOSTAT IN.

    I use 2 PCs to view it, one being a centrino based laptop with win xp pro and inernet explorer 8 installed.  The other being a 2 week old Core i3 based desktop Win 7 with internet explorer 9 running.  Both browsers lock up at least 50% of the time on first visit to this site.  How can this be ?

  hi got a 03 renault laguna 1.9 dci and was running ok when it suddenly went in to limp mode and  fuel injection fault warning came on , put on code reader and just came up with glow plug fault and that was all , unpluged sensor on drvers side strut top that has two pipes to it and it ran bit better but not perfect has any body got any ideas plz

  Hi, just changed the EGR valve and the car was running great, hooked up the caravan and when it comes to a hill, the engine management (glowplug light) comes on, then there is a rattling noise coming from the engine and black smoke coming out the exhast, once the light goes off away she goes again no problem, heading on hols in two days --need help!!

  I have a 1997 Galant 2.5 V6. From cold the car runs fine but once warmed up I experience problems with the auto box. Most of the time if stopped at a junction, to move off there is a delay of a second or two. Recently, on two occassions whilst moving, drive is lost almost and the neutral light on the dashboard flashes whilst the drive light is also illuminated.

  Should I be looking at the lambda sensor, the catalyst or something else? I wasn't expecting a fail - the car runs very smoothly, no noticeable misfire, idles well. Recent air filter, spark plug examination all looking good.

  Parked car which was running fine. On returning car will not start. Diagnostic check revealed code P0560 System Voltage Low Input C-04. Fuel pump not working but was replaced by a new one. Still the same problem and code showing.

  I have a Ciroen ZX Advantage, year of registration 1996 I'd like to run it on biofuel. I'd like o know which is he best mechanical bosch pump and is i just a straight swap for the lucas pump? Would I have to change he pipe and injectors as well? Thanks Des

  On the odd occasion would have problems restart engine if only run for short time. It now refuses to start after moving vehicle short distance. Turns over  but also note intruments (speedo and rev counter) bottom out while cranking engine. No eng lights - battery voltage 13.5 static and tried both keys.

  The old Renault sailed through its MOT today. Clean pass, one minor advisory. So how dirty is a 16 year old 2 valver running on Asda smart price? Fast idle: HC: 0 (yes, zero) ppm, Max:200ppm CO: 0.1% max 0.3% natural idle: CO: 0.31%, Max:0.5% So, not very 'dirty' at all. So what was the rationale behind the scrappage scheme again??

  Hi my grandaughter has a punto x reg 1.9d at low speeds /revs its missing quite badly (i know there's no spark plugs) but it the easy way of explaining whats happening it idles ok runs well on the motorway at 40+ but around town its very poor to drive unless you drop down gear and keep the revs high any advice would be appreciated

  Neighbour decided to clean his car today (of all days!!) and because of the lie of the land the water runs down and across his drive and across the footpath outside my house. The water has frozen into a sheet of ice across the whole footpath outside my house and my drive crossing and cannot be avoided by pedestrians without going into the road.

  When warm it is ok but it is very reluctant to get going especially on cold mornings. Once started it runs perfectly well. The tick over speed once just started is a lot slower than it used to be. An ideas Thank you Paul Lockyear

  i bought this car 20days ago,car drive and runs fine,no knocks or rattle but in a week or less it consume oil all of it i mean the dip stick comes dry,and if drive on motorway at 70 0r 65mph the all will go.there is no oil leaking no significant smoke but loseing oil,what could be the probable causes,pls.
