  Today I had great pleasure in driving the M25 going through the dartford TOLL tunnel and around to J25, (from Swanley) has anyone else noticed the \"forest\" of new speed cameras that have grown recently? All covered at the moment with a pinky cover, written on it \"not in use\" - Oh Im sure they damn well will be pretty damn soon...... Dont get me wrong, I think the \"variable speed limit\" works well, but to just stick up more money making machines, to hit the motorist again stinks!

  Traffic engineers can also simply increase the yellow-light time at problem junctions until red-light offences are reduced. Wouldn't extending the amber a second or two be simpler than installing expensive camera devices? No revenue in that. So our oppressors can make money by fitting red light cameras and then reduce the amber time to make even more. I heard of a case in Cardiff where a chap drives towards a particular junction with red light cameras and he says 9 times out of 10 the light changes to red with a fast amber even though there is no traffic approaching the junction on the other roads.

  I think I may have gone through a speed camera at 35mph in a 30. My speedo was on about 35 so I am guessing I may have been doing 33 but I may have been going a little faster. There is this road Chester Road heading towards the Manchester United stadium, it is 40mph most the way but then becomes 30mph I have onlyu just noticed this and there is a speed camera there.

  I was on the M62 this morning travelling between Leeds and Bradford (where there is a variable speed limit) and there were no lights illuminated on the overhead gantries and was doing 70 or just under on my speedo when I saw a camera flash behind me. Could it be that it may been flashing at another motorist or even a lorry doing more than their permitted motorway speed or do they flash even when at 70 mph, as I have used this route many times and aware of my speed whilst on this stretch of the M62.

  Was driving home and on the m1 somewhere between sheffield and leeds there has been roadworks going on, i seen a sign that i thought said 60, so i slowed down, then i got towards the boards and they actually said 50 as i seen a flash, however the flash came from infront of me somewhere i didnt see exacty, do the cameras on the m1 face forward aswell as backwards and therefore can catch you front facing? My speedo is out by 3 mph and i may not have been doing 60 bang on but rather 68(65).
