Anyone know anything about vans? 25 Nov 2005 (Forum)
Can anyone tell me of known faults/issues with the Vauxhall Vivaro and the Ford SWB Transit Van, as well as running costs and likely off-road time/maintenance? These are things that do not seem to be covered by sites like WhatVan etc Many Thanks -
Almera head gasket? 1 Nov 2005 (Forum)
Am i right in assuming that it is the head gasket going? If so would using radweld or something similar sort out the problem? I am only looking to run the car for about 3-4 months so not wanting to spend pounds! -
Scenic, CMax, or other? 28 Sep 2005 (Forum)
we have a 99 Scenic and are considering trading it in for a newer model. We would like an automatic, as the wife does a massive school run each day through London traffic. I quite fancy the 1.9 diesel Scenic, but of course, no auto option. The Cmax looks promising, I drove a TDi Focus & loved it. But it doesn't have quite the flexi seat capacity of a Scenic. -
Audi A4 TDi starts then stops 21 Sep 2005 (Forum)
Intermittantly, when starting my A4 TDi, the engine starts then immediately stops. Eventually, after 4/5 goes, it will remain running. I have tried all the keys (thus ruling out a transponder issue) The car is fully serviced and is in a standard condition. Has anyone any ideas? -- http://groups.msn.com/honestjohn/problems.msnw? -

Playtime 28 Jul 2005 (Forum)
For the sake of argument, I will say up to £5k, must be reasonably easy to work on/maintain. Shouldnt cost too much to run, but should still be reliable enough for a long weekend away without fear. Any comments re: 944, Excel, mx5 or what else ? -
Peugeot 406 hdi fuel leak 27 Jun 2005 (Forum)
Hi, I have a 99 406 and it has developed a leak in the engine bay. It seems to only happen above 2500rpm (80mph+)and apart from this the engine runs fine. I have had the injector unions checked and changed the fuel supply/return pipes just in front of the cylineer head, where the leak appears to be. could it be a partially blocked return pipe ? -
G Reg Golf - head gasket problems 13 Jun 2005 (Forum)
We paid nearly £400 to get it through the MOT just two weeks ago and now it turns out the head gasket has gone :o( Needless to say, we're a tad short on funds at the moment so do you reckon it would be OK to run it for a little while longer as it is? Cheers -

Rover 600 td Ecu faults 21 May 2005 (Forum)
Car runs fine for 12 miles, then when idling the yellow ECM light comes on and engine tries to fail, but then picks up again. This is accompnied by lumpt idling. I suspect a Not Present fault but wonder if the various sensors can be disconnected and bridged as a "get home" solution. -
Why a Green light? 12 May 2005 (Forum)
Also, he wasn't equipped with, or at least using, any form of siren. Even the relatively tiny and rare mountain rescue teams run on blue lights. -

What car for me? 23 Feb 2005 (Forum)
I'll be looking for a car soon (as soon as I sell mine) and wanted one in the cheaper tax and to run bracket (1.4 or under). Being 5ft 11" and 14 stone a micra is not going to do the job. Anyone got any suggestion on a medium size car in this bracket? (What's a good car to get, what's not). If you had £1,000 to get this sort of car, what would it be? -
4WD On/Off 10 Feb 2005 (Forum)
