I took the door panel off, using this link which showed where the poppers and screws were : https://www.autoinstruct.com.au/manufacturer/volkswagen/mk2-tiguan/mk2-tiguan-front-door-trim-removal/ I removed the switch and took it apart, cleaning the contact points on the PCB carefully but still wouldn't fully operate. Doing a Google search with the part number, found the item on aliexpress, and bought one. -

Hello and thank you for reading. Ok here's the deal... Model & Year: 1996 Volkswagen Jetta GLX VR6 THE PROBLEM: I was rolling the window up two days ago when I heard a snapping noise and the window stopped going up (luckily it was almost all the way there). I'd pay to have it fixed if I could afford it, but I'd like to try and get the door panel removed and fix it myself.
