  hi went up and down the m6 the other weekend manchester to swindon, passing through quite a number of spec controlled roadworks. i kept to the signed limit but was surprised how many drivers were driving at well over the signed limit. do they know something others don't or do they not know what spec camera's are or do they not have the self control to drive at the stated limit. some must have been at well over 70 mph.

  When it happens it starts straight away with the key. It is not missing at all through the range of driving speeds and the rev counter doesn't vary. I never experience loss of power when driving, Help! Confused!

  Can anyone suggest how I can quieten the ancilliary drive belt on my diesel A4 please. It has gradually got more and more squeaky over the last few months, and low it squeaks even after a significant drive, except for just first thin on a damp morning. It is not slipping, it is just making a rubbery squeak at tickover.

  I am now driving C5 2.0 HDI the annoying feature is that after 20 minutes of listening to the radio without the engine running it shuts down to "economy mode".The only way to get the radio or accesories to power up again is to start the engine,then you get 10 minutes of radio.This feature is so that you do not flatten the battery, fair enough but it is silly that you have to start the car each time to turn the radio back on.Does anny one know of a way around this feature as its driving me nuts. -- rustbucket (the original)

  hello, i have a ford focus 1.8 tdci 2003, it has a poor starting problem as in it takes a long time to start but once started drives fine i have fitted the following parts but these hav'nt sorted the problem parts fitted cam sensor and crank sensor E.G.R valve a local mechanic said it could be fuel pump, has anyone got any ideas i need some info asap please driving me nuts thanks in advance

  Have you any examples of stereotypical motorists? How can you identify them by the cars they drive and the way they drive them? Obvious examples are the teenage menace in an obscenely modified Saxo, and the testosterone-fuelled sales rep charging down the outside lane at X00mph in a boggo basic Vectra or such like.
