Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 04 2.0 Rear washer 4 Apr 2012 (Forum)
I have looked for a second washer bottle and can't find it, so i assume that the car only has one. I can not see any leaks from any of the pipes leading from the washer bottle, or any leaks into the car. Can anyone shed any light on the issue. Cheers -

2008 VW Golf TDI 1.9 - Misfuelling-have I caused damage by driving it 9 Oct 2011 (Forum)
My 2008 VW Golf TDI was nearly empty. I made the mistake of putting about 13L of un-leaded petrol in it. I was given the advice that if I filled the tank up diesel the car would be ok. It seems to be driving ok, but is taking 3 to 4 attempts to start. Also the oil warning light came on last time I started it. -
VW Golf GTI - Golf GTI timing belt 25 Jul 2011 (Forum)
If this is the case I think there is a strong possibility they have over tightened the bolt which has lead to it shearing off. Your help please. -
vw passat - electrical problem 27 Apr 2011 (Forum)
On my 1995 petrol passat (in an attempt to fit a starter button) I mistakenly linked the ignition live with the outer (earth?) of the immobiliser cable which leads down from the ignition switch. the car will fire up but then stops immediately. What bit am I likely to have damaged? As any expert can tell I should never have started but all help will be much appreciated. the idea of the starter button (now not connected) was because the final turn in the key to operate the starter appeared to be getting touch and go. -
Nissan Primera IV p12 (2002 - 2006) - 2.2 dci recall related to Engine Managment System. 15 Feb 2011 (Forum)
I've just received a letter recalling my 54 plate 2.2 dCi Primera for a "Concern related to the Engine Management System has been identified. This can lead to a lack of power, poor acceleration response, black smoke from the exhaust and/or whistling noise" Anyone got any inside information on this. Perhaps it will actually fix the only real complaint I have with the car: Poor fuel consumption! -
Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec - Delay on ignition 30 Sep 2010 (Forum)
HI, I recently changed the coil, ht leads and plugs and to make the engine warning light go out I disconnected the battery for 10 minutes. Since then I now find when I start the car there is a about a 1 second delay between turning the key fully to when the start motor actually kicks in. -
Chrysler Voyager 2.5 diesel 2001 - Battery gores flat within 2 days 6 May 2010 (Forum)
I have a 2001 Voyager 2.5 diesel which is draining the battery after 2 days. If I disconnect the battery - lead is doesn't drain the battery. I've had a new battery fitted and that and the alternator tested and charging ok. I have noticed the the digital odometer stays illuminated in the instrument display all the time which I think could be causing the drain. -

Peugeot - 02 1.6 Won't start on warm engine 14 Jun 2009 (Forum)
I would pull over to put some petrol in the car after driving home from work but the car refused to start and all it does is making clicking noises and all else will work. The car starts immediately on jump leads and has no problems starting thereafter and has no problem starting the next day on a cold engine. Any idea where to start first? The battery seems to charge ok; unless something is draining it during the drive??? -

Volkswagen Touran MPV (2003 - ) - Is 55k worth £2k? 3 Dec 2007 (Forum)
Looking at VW Tourans with the 2.0 TDI PD. The two leading contenders with the desired spec and colors are priced at £10k and £12k, with the former having 85k miles and the latter 30k. Both are single owner, FVWSH vehicles. The high miler is a trade in at a LR Stratstone franchise, and the lower one is at a VW main dealer, where it was originally bought and sold. -
Renault Scenic (1996 - 1998) - 1998 1.6 - misfire 17 Oct 2007 (Forum)
this started after the car went in for a service; the car seemed to be missing as I drove away. The mechanic said that there was a plug lead not fitted properly and all was OK until now (a few months ago)........the car starts and runs fine but after a normal run if I have to stop for a short time the car then misfires, as if its not running on all cylinders,,,,it smooth no pops or bangs but it only happens under the situation above, I was wondering if there could be a faulty plug fitted that was failing under high temperature..any ideas. -
Daewoo Lanos (1997 - 2002 ) - 98 1.6 Non-starter 3 Oct 2007 (Forum)
My daughter has a 1998 1.6sx which refuses to start - was going OK, but now isn't. Starter motor turns, camshafts move (so timing belt intact), checked HT leads for spark, disconnected fuel line, and petrol P's out when engine turns so pump etc OK (and yes it's petrol). Could it be the immobiliser cutting something else out that I haven't checked? If so how can I check? -
Ford C-MAX (2003 - 2010) - Vredestein tyres, recommended? 7 Sep 2007 (Forum)
The supplier said the contis were good, but Vredestein were better and cheaper. I'd never heard of the make before, but they're high rated by a leading car magazine. Anyone on here used that brand of tyre? -
2-stroke appreciation 31 Aug 2007 (Forum)
That's appreciation in both senses, as I have just discovered that new EU regs (groan) in force this year mean that new 2-stroke outboard motors cannot be sold any more, with the result that second-hand ones are holding their value rather well. I know this because I've just bought one, which leads me to a more motoring-related question: we've just had a bank holiday influx of scooterists, some of whose machines seemed to be burning something that smelled very like Castrol R. Any ideas what it could have been?
