  • A Grand Monday: Porsche 924S 17 Feb 2014 (News)
Those in the know, will preach for hours on end about how brilliant these cars are - with balanced handling, punchy performance, and all the marque DNA you'd ever need. You see, despite the the 'van engine' jibes (untrue, by the way), the 924S was all-Porsche, thanks to the fitment of the slant-four, first seen in the 944. But the problem is that to all intents and purposes, the 2.5-litre 924S looks all-but identical to the 1984cc non-S model - and as we all know, the earlier car was a much inferior thing, thanks to tepid performance and average refinement.

  • Opinion: Keep your friends close and your mechanics closer 16 Aug 2016 (News)
I ended up selling the Rover as spares or repairs and buying the van, as it seemed the simplest option – though moving from the Sterling’s opulent Bentley-like cabin and silky V6 to the vinyl seats, glacial acceleration and agricultural gearchange of the C15 was something only a committed car enthusiast could do.

The entrance, with a 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera and a 1990 Ferrari 348 makes a good first impression but, while the garage offers specialist services for more premium cars and sells a host of luxury vehicles, it also services and MoT tests all makes and models including everyday hatchbacks and family cars. Anyone is welcome in this wonderfully situated, family-run garage. But setting it apart from the usual small garage, it also offers wedding car rentals, car sales, active rentals and valet services.

  • 2.3 million clocked and potentially dangerous cars on UK roads, report suggests 19 Nov 2018 (News)
“The sale of cheap mileage correction software also needs to be banned as this can only be fuelling the big rise in clocking and illegal profits.” Car buyers can take a number of steps verify a vehicle's mileage, including checks with the DVLA for previous MoTs that show the car’s mileage. Buyers can also check the service history to see if the car tallies with the claimed mileage for each year. A heavily worn steering wheel, driver’s seat and pedals can also indicate that the mileage may have been tampered with.
