Hello Having an issue with my 04 fiesta 1.4l Tried to start for work one morning and car will not idle, car will start and engine will run only if I hold down the accelerator, as soon as I release car stalls. If engine is revved enough to warm car will run 100% fine, but once cooled down same issue returns. No fault codes showing. -

Ford Focus - 05 1.6 petrol focus idle problem 9 Sep 2015 (Forum)
The problem I have is as soon as I start the car it idles at 1200 rpm and stays there until the car is up to running temp. As soon as it gets to running temp the revs jump between 1300 to 1400 rpm and the throttle pedal doesn’t work. So I have to turn the car off to get it to go again, but as soon as I stop at lights for more than a couple of seconds it starts revving itself up and down again and the throttle doesn’t work again. -

so now it has to go back to vauhall on tues but they arent sure what is wrong with it so have to run more tests and have quoted me £850 for a new clutch actuator and labour and another £150 for a complete check or something. does anyone know where i could buy a 2nd hand actuator if that turns out to be the problem or what exactly i should do?
