Which fuel for the new Golf?

What octane petrol should a new Golf with the 1.4 turbo engine use? My previous mkV 1.6 FSI had to run on 98 after burning out a nox sensor on 95/97. Is this still an issue on the new Golf?

The engine is calibrated and optimised for the ECDC tests on the best petrol available, which is Shell V-Power Nitro+, so if you use anything less you will inevitably get worse results. But you are right that with the old FSI engine you refer to, you had to use 97-99Ron or it coked up. You had no choice.
