ford fiesta mk6 1.4 diesel (2002-2008) - injectors 4 Dec 2013 (Forum)
I've been reading alot of problems that people are having with this car.most of you that fix your own cars miss out one important thing out.Firstly only buy parts for the fiesta from ford.as parts from spares companies are not up to spec.when changing the injector seals the alloy bolts that hold the injectors in must be replaced aswell-they stretch. If not replaced within a few weeks the injector will leak again -
peugeot 106 - choosing a 'new' hatchback 18 Aug 2012 (Forum)
I have the above (1999) and time to change. Important criteria for me are : narrow width (160-170cm region so can get in garage) and roomy boot for a small car (similar to 106). I am a complete car illiterate and would welcome suggestions as to suitable (newer) models. -
SEAT Altea - Cambelt change 20 Jun 2010 (Forum)
Now question is, can he put the cambelt change (do a normal service) off for a year as he needs to get other things done, which are more important (brakes, mortgage) Thanks. Kams -
Audi TT Coupe and Roadster (1999 - 2006) - Probably a 225, any comments? 24 Jan 2010 (Forum)
Any mods from a certain year? Not fussed about age, the condition, history and mileage are more important IMO. Any comments? Thanks. -
short term breakdown cover 10 Dec 2009 (Forum)
I'm getting a new car at the end of the month :-))) My old car has gone away, thankfully, and i've got the use of a Focus for a couple of weeks. I want to arrange short term breakdown/recovery, as I have a couple of important trips to make Who do the team recommend ? I'm guessing I'm going to have to take out a 12 month contract then cancel it, so I want to avoid anybody who makes this difficult . -
exporting of used increasing? 9 Dec 2009 (Forum)
In my work i visit various docks collecting imported vehicles and delivering new for export-the balance as expected. I'm seeing ever increasing volumes of decent looking used vehicles waiting at the quaysides to be exported. Ranging from Mondeo's to Volvos' to Landcruisers and Shoguns etc...say P reg to 02 ish. -
Double-yellow delight 10 Sep 2009 (Forum)
Between these bays the streets have double yellow lines. We have no traffic wardens. And the police have much more important things to do. Therefore, if you need to stop for a few minutes you do the counter-intuitive thing and park on the yellow even when the resident?s bays are empty. Is it me that's mad? -
Honda Shuttle/Odyssey (1995 - 2000) - Honda Shuttle or Odyssey which one? 12 May 2009 (Forum)
Would appreciate any advise on the positives AND negatives of buying a UK Honda Shuttle as opposed to buying a Import Odyssey which appears better specced out. Any obvious drawbacks when it comes to re - selling in the future. Also does the Odyssey command higher insurance premiums. Would appreciate any useful comments. -
Eating at the wheel - again 25 Feb 2009 (Forum)
With his right arm raised, at first I thought it was some sort of hand signal. Oh no silly me. He thought it more important to empty the last few bits out of his crisp bag than concentrate on the road. Rant over. -
Renault Megane Coupe (2009 - ) - Wow - Congrats Renault 28 Jan 2009 (Forum)
When I watched the advert for the first time on TV, I said to the misses thats a lovely looking car, not knowing it was a Megane. I think they have certainly cracked the style bit, all important with coupes. I think the 1.6 petrol is going to be a bit of a bargin once discounts start up. -
Ford Galaxy (1995 - 2006) - 1.9Tdi Engine Number 13 Aug 2008 (Forum)
I am in the process of importing my Swiss LHD galaxy following my return to the UK after 2 years living & working in Switzerland. The Customs & Excise form that I am filling in asks for the Engine number (in addition to the VIN). -
4k to spend on weekend/fun car 16 Jun 2008 (Forum)
It will only be used at weekends and will probably only do about 3,000 miles per year. Reliability is important and i dont want to be speing a fortune on tax (they have enough of my money as it is!) so maybe a pre 03/01 model. Not to bothered about fuel comsumption due to low mileage but around 30 mpg would be good. -
Toyota MR2 (1985 - 1990) - Where,s the fuel cut off switch ? 17 Oct 2007 (Forum)
Can anyone tell me if there is a fuel cut off / inertia switch fitted to an early imported MR2. It is a workmates car and I have not had a chance to look at it yet. Not sure of the year but seem to remember it is what I would call the Ferrari shape (80`s ?). The owner is unable to find the switch (if it`s fitted with one). -
Autotrader drives Top Gear's Toyota Hilux 4 Oct 2007 (Forum)
With numberplates and a tax disc, all which would be required to get it through its MOT would be tyres free from studs and the dark tints removed from the front side windows ? important to avoid snow glare...... -
New car advice 1 Aug 2007 (Forum)
It is going to have to be capable of long journeys as 2 are at uni in Scotland. On top of that safety and running costs are important priorities. My initial thought was for a 5 door Fiesta 1.25 zetec with climate but would be v grateful for other suggestions. I anticipate keeping the car for around 3 years with a total mileage of up to 60k. -
Merc 190 diesel 30 Jul 2007 (Forum)
Oh and yes I know they are dog slow but economy is measurably better than the petrols and thats more important to me. One thing that I found curious - I got quoted virtually the same price for insurance on one of these as for my Fiat Seicento - whats going on there? -
Babyseats in a Lucida/Estima 30 Jul 2007 (Forum)
Hi all, my Daughter has purchased a Toyota Import above with the 8 seats. The problem we are having is fitting two baby seats in the car, the original seat belts seem too short, I purchased a couple of extenders off of Ebay, but the couplings did not fit, although the idea was brilliant. -
Toyota Estima Estima 4 Jul 2007 (Forum)
I posted this request yesterday but it seems to have been deleted My Toyota estima import sometimes on first starting makes clunking noises until it finally starts then whitish smoke until it burns off (FUEL?) The car runs great ,and will stat every time without problem until it has sat overnight, no oil or overheating problems. -
