Classic cars put to work 11 Sep 2014 (News)
Employees at one of the UK’s leading classic car insurance brokers drove their classic cars into work yesterday, Wednesday 10 September, in support of Drive Your Classic to Work Week. Staff at West Midlands-based Footman James are supporting the initiative, which takes place between 6-14 September. The initiative is now in its fourth year and aims to show the wider public how classic owners keep the nation’s motoring heritage alive by using their cars on the daily commute. -
The Liver Run remembered 13 Aug 2013 (News)
The journey takes place on 8 May 1987, and starts at Stansted Airport in Essex, and the traffic officer needs to drive the liver along some of the UK's busiest roads in the centre of London, to Cromwell Hospital, Kensington. According to the Environmental Transport Association (ETA), a new type of road has been invented which produces power as vehicles drive over it. ETA reported a 1 km strip of the innovative asphalt can generate 400 kilowatts of energy. The group added people considering buying a car which runs on electricity could find the new technology allows their vehicle to be powered entirely by the roads on which they drive. -

The penalties handed out to people who drive without car insurance are not severe enough, it has been claimed.
