  I was hoping it was simply a case of plugging it in, but from what I've read BMW dealers charge £50 for the privilige so there must be a bit more to it than that surely.. I certainly don't want to get involved in drilling holes in my new pride and joy!!

  Why on earth do people bother to buy new cars from UK dealerships. I have recently acquired a 528 Touring, 4.5 years old with the remainder of the BMW warranty for only 10K. A 35K car(with the extras), with thankfully someone else taking the vast majority of the most expensive element of motoring from me ie DEPRECIATION. The car has done 94K miles now but drives like new-I do not wish to change it for at least the next 5 years-if anyone is tempted I can only thoroughly recommend BMW for comfort, solidity and longevity(not to mention 31 mpg overall-34 on a run!).

  1980 BMW 635i automatic. + points: 109,000 miles, full comprehensive BMW service history, sound visible bodywork - points: requires replacement front shock absorbers, has stood outside for 3 months and is therefore damp inside, possible leak through sunroof.

  As mentioned by HJ here https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/new-cars/2024-02/2024-mini-cooper/ the MINI Cooper's 1.5 engine is going up to 154ps - it's currently 136. Anyone know whether the BMW 118i which currently shares the 1.5 will also be getting the power hike? Just for the purposes of my next car daydreams.

  The wheels were welded and reused but a spare wheel is essential according to my friend. So no damage to the suspension but seven similar cases at one tyre store , all MB or BMW

  Any ideas what could be the cause? Halfords who did the mot wouldn't even look at it. Told me I needed to go to bmw dealership but it's going into a local garage.

• BMW Z4 - "Groaning" Steering Wheel 10 Mar 2017 (Forum)
  Hello, help & advice would be much appreciated as to an annoying sound that has developed, which can best be described as a dull groan, similar to a door being closed, when the steering wheel is turned. The vehicle is a 2003 2.5 BMW Z4, which has been garaged over the winter period, only being used on the occasional dry days. Is this simple a lubrication issue? Thank you.

  My BMW makes a slight knocking noise when going over bumps. It only happens at slow speeds. I jacked up the car and shook the wheels grabbing 12 and 6 oclock then 3 and 9 oclock and no play was found. The steering also feels slightly 'wooly' when turning corners.

  He can't access the electronic service history, but has been able to update oil, filters, brake fluid, etc. but not the service history, using 3 different plug in devices. Any ideas, as the BMW agent wants up to £80 just to access the servive history and update !

  Since the failure is due to stone damage surely this a design fault due to insufficient shielding.  Is BMW liable due to design failure for any of the repair bill?

  Does anyone have experience of run flat tyre insurance? I have had three new tyres this year, two due to punctures. Tyres cost £205 each fitted. BMW offer £300 per claim for 5 tyres over 3 years for £409. Cover 50 percent if tread is less than 6mm. Mike.

  Hi there. i am a new member with BMW M5 2010, I t is really a great car , i really like it , but last week i found that there was no sound when it display disc,including the radio ,i had check the fuss, but it worked well .so what the problem is?
