Castrol TWS synthetic oil - BMW 4 Oct 2003 (Forum)
I understand BMW are recommending Castrol TWS (10W-60) for use in the M3 & M5`s, because of excessive oil consumption using the ultra thin SLX (0W-30). Have Googled a search without much success and was wondering if any B.R`s know what sort of price this oil retails in comparison to SLX.?? -

Friends now reunited 8 Jun 2010 (Forum)
Why such superb form, here though - in only 60 yrs? Only standing well back, do you see the true complete form of the upper canopy - It`s a truly massive Lombardy Poplar - and the `penny drops` re the growth. It`s been able, with a Poplars root growth - to push well into the Victorian part of the cemetery - and perhaps into the newer sections - while the Beech trees have not. -
VW Touran - A user review 16 May 2004 (Forum)
After 2.5k miles, and one trip to the dealer for a couple of minor niggles, I am still happy with my purchase, and would recommend it to anyone?s short list. Model: Touran 1.6FSI S 7 seat Registered: March 04 What?s Good: Space, Versatility, Noise Levels, Comfort, Equipment levels, Safety equipment, Handling. What?s not so good: ?A? pillars big, some minor niggles (fixed by dealer), CAN bus system makes fitting accessories expensive, handbrake ? -
Oilrag`s Essay Competition - 3rd edition 9 Apr 2023 (Forum)
Write an account of his experiences here in a compassionate yet humorous style - from his perspective. 3) It`s hard working in a garage - really hard. The cars are not the problem, it`s the customer. Write a story of your worst experiences in dealing with customers - and the strategies you have to survive. 4) You are Uriah Heep (brought to life from a Dickens novel) You are just entering a car showroom to buy a car and the salesman is approaching. -

Ford S-MAX (2006 - ) - petrol or diesel? 25 Jan 2009 (Forum)
We have had diesels for a while, but with all the DPF, DMF etc debate I'm not sure it's worth it. In the S-Max, the 2.0 diesel would suffice but I would really like the 2.2 for a bit more shove especially towing. However, while there are plenty of 2.0's on the used market, there are very few 2.2s and they are very highly priced. -

Any thoughts before we go testing would be gratefully received. BTW we are *not* going to get a Mondeo - unless it´s the 2.2 titanium thingy, and they´re in short supply. -

A5 Sportback opinions please (and new shape A6) 28 Feb 2012 (Forum)
I'll no doubt go for a 520d SE but the A5 looks much nicer and the A6 S-Line is better equipped so I'd like to keep my options open at ths stage. Thanks PS - I have a 5 day test drive booked with an A6 S-Line booked from the end of this week so that should prove interesting. -
Subaru Tribeca or Ford S-Max 2.5T? 30 Mar 2011 (Forum)
Not quite the same bargain as a Tribeca but not too far short. I suspect the S-Max will be the better drive of the two and 4WD is not vital. Which one would you go for and why? -

Alfa Cam timing jigs 23 Oct 2004 (Forum)
I know on which places on the heads the cam timing jigs fit but not which jig in which place. The four jigs are numbered: 1825040/1 DX S 1CIL ; 1825040/2 DX S 1CIL ; 1825040/3 SX S 4CIL ; 1825040/4 SX A 6CIL respectively. The first number sequence is the part number, I think that SX means "Sinistra" for the left head and DX "Dritto" for the right head.
