  Maybe they are just trying to get HM Gov to buy them out? It is high time it was free. But when over 75's lose their TV licence, there's not much chance of that with this lot in charge.
• cracked windscreen and MOT 10 May 2019 (Forum)
  Some thug (to put it mildly) has hit my windscreen and placed three smallish cracks (viewable from inside) on the right hand side, bottom corner of the windscreen (as viewed sitting in the drivers seat). there are also some small stone chips too nearby, also created by the thug(s). I think the stone chips are well outside zone a, buy within zone b, but are only 5mm or so wide. So i think im ok there. Hoverer regarding the cracks are these a straight failure, or can i get away with it if they are within the designated limits.

  Hi everyone hope everybody is well, So I bought a used car from Arnold Clark a wee Ford Fiesta zetec s 2010 after taking it home I ran a car check app, which I should of done beforehand, and it states on its first mot 200.000 odd miles had been added then the following mot they disappeared when I bought it it was 37000 miles, is that grounds for a refund?

As you can see, cherished number plates have been exceptional investments over recent years.

  Hi (not a fiesta radio code thread, woop) Took my wife's splash for the annual service and was advised rear shock absorber requires replacement but also that the o/s drive shaft seal is leaking and requires repair My wife has a friend with a similar agila and hers had to have a replacement gear box. Wondering if gear box problems are common on the splash and most importantly what the consequences of the drive shaft seal leaking might be, ie, what else should I check with this in mind?

  [endif]--> I have a Quechan for you all can you help with this please. We have a Toyota Corolla Verrso 2005 automatic 1.8cc vvti t3 s-a petrol. 7 seater. It has 97k on the clock & runs very very well with no sign of oil leaks anywhere. No smoking, heating head gasket looks fine. No blue smoke. Me & the garage are at a loss.

• Saab 93 Vector - Advice needed 1 May 2015 (Forum)
  I have a 2006 Saab 92 2.0 Vector and has been on my drive for the last 3 months with the front tires just about flat, i managed to pump them up but one of them has a flat spot, after driving it for about 10 miles the flat spot noise seems to have subsided, the only issue i have now is that when i apply the brake i get the same kind of noise as the flat spot (front left n/s brake)   Any ideas as to why it could be?     Regards

  Relative has received a sizeable dent(s) in the near side rear door. What are the options? It looks too much to pull out / fill so is a replacement spare / scrap door easy to source? Is it an easy job to replace? (manual window but central locking) Do you have to find an exact match colourwise or can it just be resprayed with a can or two of matching paint.

  Thinking of adding water temp (the existing is not direct reading), oil pressure, oil temp and boost pressure, on "A" pillar housing(s). Yes, it's a strange choice of car, let's say it's a practise run.... Where best to insert the senders/sensors, either specific to this engine should anyone reading this be familiar with it, and are there any senders already extant which could be exploited/piggy-backed (I assume the ECU receives some of those values anyway).

  hi recently purchased new vw , the mpg figures we are achieving are alot lower than the figures we where given prior to the purchase, my question is what are volkswagen salesmen telling you before you purchase a new car for thousands of £s how did they explain the figures ? did they us a vw tablet computer to show you the figures? did they explain how these figures are achieved ? did they make any ref to personally being able to achieve the figures ?

  Hi HJ, I ordered a new 2014 C-Class Merc in June for September delivery.  The spec included the much-touted AirMatic suspension - the first time this S-class feature was to be fitted to smaller Mercs.  However, the dealer tells me the factory cannot source the parts, so I have to drop the feature or delay the delivery.  The same problem affects the 360 degree camera system.

    The fuel flap can be opened without a key or inside cab release leaver, albeit there appears to be a strong spring door that will only allow the right fuel nozzle in.  Given that I'm a bit paranoid as in the past of had some t***(s) jump on the roof of one car, and have another keyed whilst in a multi-storey, is this flap prone to prone to vandalism (i.e some pratt might think it's a geat wheez to bend the flap of it's hindges?

  Had since new -now in third at full throttle engine revs drop back from3100 rpm to 2800 rpm and after this flat spot the old girl takes off with normal acceleration.Sometimes get judder on engaging clutch. Is this likely to be the clutch? If I do replace clutch what s all this about replacing the DF? also and what would be the extra to do this over the £280 I am likely to have to pay for a new clutch
