• Renault Modus - Horn not working 14 Oct 2023 (Forum)
  I just bought this car (2010 model, 1.2 litres, petrol, manual) and found the horn does not work as I was driving home with it (private sale). The MOT is from February, so I guess it was working then. I should have included it in my list of checks! Does anyone have a good place to start looking for the reason?

  Neighbour has a new car, Brand new 73 plate MG ZS £15,500 all in An absolute bargain compared to similar size vehicles especially when you consider the warranty. Not the best to drive, not the best mpg, not the best built, but perfectly adequate vehicle with a few gadgets and lots of space. That is a competitive price , no wonder they sell so many. Dacia duster has a rival.

  Paris Will Ban Through Traffic in City Center https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-05-13/new-paris-car-ban-will-target-through-traffic   I am wondering if tis sort of thing will be happening in cities in the UK.  Imagine buying that expensive electric car, only to be banned from driving in the city centre.

  Got an 06 focus, the engine light has come on on the dash, it sounds a little rattley & when idle the rph drops below 1 like it's about to cut out then goes back up itself so it doesn't cut out. It also jerks when driving. Any ideas what it might be?

  Hi,   Probably basic questions but can I open the engine oil cap whilst the engine is still hot (90) but turned off - so turning engine off after a drive and then instantly opening the oil cap. I assume this will cause no issues?   And Is it possible to fit the oil cap back on incorrectly? would it be obvious?

  Apparently research has shown that driving with the hands at 10 t0 2 on the steering wheel can can be dangerous.  According to QI in an accident the airbag will strike your hands at 250 mph causing potential serious injuries. One injury  called 'gloving' doesn't sound good.

  Went to top up my engine oil tonight and picked up bottle of t cut, realises when I started poring it that it was wrong colour . Help! How bad is it?My son is supposed to be doing his driving test in it tomorrow TIA

  We have previously managed for 7 days with only a coolerbox and replacing ice regularly. The fridge would only be running while we drive. Are their any repercussions to this setup?

  I have a major problem with the dipped headlights when driving on unlit country roads. The beam has a cut off point at about 45 deg. at the front near side giving a blind spot and is very dangerous. Toyota is aware of the problem as there have been many complaints, they are in complete denial.

  When driving at various speeds with my foot lightly on the accelerator the car marginally fluctuates the throttle up and down. If I put on cruise control it also seems to do the same. Hasn’t broken down yet fingers crossed been 1 week so far...any ideas.

  Just phoned up to advise of change of vehicle and now decided they want my date of birth and which days of the week i drive. None of their business and told them I would not be renewing shortly. told must have an answer for usage, so told lady to pick a number of days she wanted to and put that.

  I am on train and have just passed many dealers with snow covered cars, no doubt some of these will be new for delivery today. Having recently picked up a new car, if it were me I would refuse to drive beyond the forecourt. 
• BMW 5 Series Touring F11 - Air suspension issue 25 Apr 2017 (Forum)
  My suspension intermittently drops on the driver's side rear air suspension when parked.  It is fine when driving and there are no error codes on the diagnostics.  A leak seems unlikely as half the time it stays level.  Any suggestions would be appreciated as it is under warrantee but the garage can't find a fault.

  Can anyone help? I drive a Ford Transit Minibus (09) and someone has lost the code for the radio, it currently reads LOCKED and the time on the dis[play. How do i get into the system and input a code and can anyone give me the code, The Model is 6CD-GGDS and the serial number is V001880.

  I have had this fiesta from brand new in 2014 and noticed recently that the steering seems more heavier when driving.    Had tyre pressure checked. tracking checked and adjusted slightly Power Steering Fluid levels okay   Any ideas guys.

  Son just passed his driving practical test and we enquired with my wife's insurance company as to whether he could be included on her policy as a named driver. They said no. Can you have more than one policy on a vehicle? Say if we got him a policy with another company solely for him as the main driver.
• Volvo XC70 2007 - Switchable headlights 7 Jan 2017 (Forum)
  I want to convert the headlamp dip from right to left hand drive on my car to register it in France and noticed that Volvo XC70 appears on the list of cars that have switchable lights. I cannot see where they adjust and wondered if this facility was removed for the 2007 model.
