New Transit, FWD or RWD 25 Oct 2006 (Forum)
I saw from an advert in the paper today that the new Transit is available in Front Wheel Drive or Rear Wheel Drive. I have never heard of a vehicle being offered with these alternatives, has there been any others? Is this an example of how the Transit really is just a chassis that you can build -
What car did you learn to drive in? 3 Jul 2005 (Forum)
Prompted by the 2CV thread, wondered what car you learnt to drive in? My instructor's car was a red Datsun 100A (don't see many of those now). I passed in 1976 - 1st time of course! Was n't allowed to practice in Dad's car (1976 Alfasud) so the Datsun was my only learner vehicle. -

So, my insurance company weren't too competitive about insuring me fully comp for any car. Any other ways round this? -
Other drivers 3 Jan 2002 (Forum)
There are only two kinds of drivers on the road that you see: the morons, who drive slower than me; and the maniacs, who drive faster than me. Doesn't everyone operate on this principal? ;^} You dont get to see the third kind, those sensible intelligent paragons of driving virtue go at the same -
Driving Test changes 21 Aug 2001 (Forum)
I noticed that Alvin took the driving test in 1957, some 22 years after the tests introduction and I wondered what the main differences between the 1957 test and the current one are? I remember hand signals being phased out in '75, the year I took mine and I know that the current test has -

Car drives perfectly. Idling is perfect. BUT engaging drive the lever baulks and when forced in causes a horrible crunching noise. The button on the side of the gearlever is fine. The crinching noise comes from the gearbox rather than the base of the lever. Also hard to move out of drive. You need -
