Suzuki Ignis Sport recall - catalyst2
I have just received a safety recall for my Ignis Sport re the inner drive shaft circlip, I'm having the car seen to by a Suzuki dealer in 5 days. The letter says that 'the left hand drive shaft may disconnect from the transmission due to insufficient holding force of the inner drive shaft joint circlip'. Now, my question is: just how serious a problem is this really ? I have to drive it for a good 250 miles before the circlip and hub nut are replaced, what precautions should I take ? It's got me really worried, are they recalling this model following a spate of accidents or just as a matter of caution ?
