  • Mazda 3 - Steering wheel vibration 30 Jul 2021 (Forum)
My wife’s Mazda 3 has started intermittently vibrating through the steering wheel. Never when I am driving. Until today.  It was quite marked and when I checked the road wheels the front near side wheel was very hot with a slight smell of burning.
  • Mazda 2 - Creaking sound from steering wheel or column 9 May 2015 (Forum)
Hi, should I be worried about a creaking noise when parking? It only happens when I turn the steering wheel, when I am manouevring my car, a Mazda 2 Sport, in and out of a parking space, so is something to do with the steering. The car is 2.5 years old and has only done about 6000 miles, so surely nothing should have worn out yet?  Thanks.

  • Mazda 3 - 'Felt' Wheel arch liners 1 Dec 2010 (Forum)
Hello everyone - first post! I just bought an 04 Mazda 3, and whilst checking it over noticed that the rear wheel arches have a 'felt' liner on the outside - like the stuff the inside of the boot is made out of. Is this normal/typical? Seems to me that this sort of stuff will get wet with spray from the wheel and stay damp and maybe increase corrosion?

  • Avensis, Mazda 6 or Mondeo? 20 Sep 2005 (Forum)
I am thinking of buying a new car, principally for SWMBO, but I will drive it from time to time. The choice is between : Toyota Avensis, Ford Mondeo, Mazda 6, with Honda Accord and Nissan Primera as second string. It MUST have Auto box and cruise control, I would ideally like sat. nav. and diesel - which rules out all of them except the Ford. Most important, it must be reiable.
  • Mazda rear pads 13 Aug 2005 (Forum)
I have an 02 mazda 626 estate with rear discs. It appears that the handbrake operates by pushing the disc pads via the piston. A change of pads looks possible by removing the top calliper pin and tilting the calliper.
  • Electrical Problems - Mazda 6 18 Jan 2004 (Forum)
I own a Mazda 6 which I\'m very impressed with. However I was driving the car when the CD player stopped working, heated rear window went off and then the left indicator came on all by itself. This happened several times in a journey lasting no more than 20 minutes.
  • Mazda 323 23 Oct 2002 (Forum)
I have an old Mazda 323 H Reg and since the bad weather started I have had problems with the electrics. Every morning the car does start but the engine keeps missing and I end up feeling like a kangaroo. But what is strange is that after stopping and turning off engine for 10 mins then starting up again the problem is not there.

  • Mazda 2 (2011) - Front Suspension Really Soft Is This Normal? 27 Nov 2020 (Forum)
I recently bought a Mazda 2 1.3 Tamura 2011.  It's a really good car for what it is.  I've owned a really good MX5 NC 2.0 Sport in the past which was fantastic, apart from it's slightly soft suspension. I've read reviews about the Mazda 2, and this car isn't really the great handling car that they suggest.
  • Mazda 3 - Engine hesitation 6 Jan 2015 (Forum)
My wife has a 2007 Mazda 3 with the 1.6l petrol engine with an approx mileage of 55000. Ever since she bought it a year ago the car has had an annoying and sometimes dangerous problem that the local Mazda agent dismisses as nonexistent.
  • Mazda Mazda 6 (2002 - 2007) - 2005 2litre diesel clutch flywheel 20 Feb 2009 (Forum)
They can't do anything for a week. Two days later it's getting considerably worse and breaks down on the way to work. Back at the Mazda garage they confirm its the clutch, but say the wear on the clutch has caused excessive play on the flywheel. and they give me a new clutch and a new flywheel and a bill for for £1380... Their warranty people say the clutch- being a friction part - is only covered for 9,000 miles, and the damage to flywheel is consequential damage from the clutch and is therefore not covered either.
  • Mazda 5 Front Tyre Wear 16 Mar 2007 (Forum)
A four wheel laser laignment check at Kwikfit confirmed that the car was set up within tolerance. A visit to the dealer confirmed this, so, I and the dealer contacted Mazda Motors UK to lodge a call. Mazda's first action was to refuse to replace the tyres under warranty as the warranty period for tracking is three months (why should it be a tracking issue if the car is within tolerance?
