Citroen Picasso versus Focus C-Max. 11 Jul 2004 (Forum)
I'm contemplating buying one or other of these mini-MPVs. They both seem to find favour with HJ in their different ways, but I am particularly inclined towards the 2.0 litre auto Picasso and in either case it would be a petrol engine. The Back Room's collective wisdom and experience would be most welcome, please. -
New Laguna 21 Mar 2004 (Forum)
A friend has a current model and is thinking of replacing it with a brand new one, would be useful to know when the new one is coming out as I'd imagine that wouldn't help the values of the current models! Thanks in advance, Lee -- Lee MINI adventure in progress -
UK Broker - Motafile 15 Jan 2003 (Forum)
The best price I've found on a new Mini Cooper is with Motafile, a broker supplying UK main dealer cars, offering £300 off the list price. Has anyone used them before to purchase a new car, or who has any experience from going through them? -
North Coast 500 4 Jan 2024 (Forum)
At this time of year thoughts turn to summer holidays, and one idea my wife and I have for a few weeks away in the summer, probably early September, is driving the North Coast 500 in our Mini convertible. We’ve seen a few packages offered by various firms, which seem reasonable value, but does anyone have any experience or ideas about the best way to do this trip? -
Most remembered car tv advert 11 Feb 2020 (Forum)
Probably been covered but here goes What car tv advert do you remember most? Is it the Mini Metros being driven off the boats at the South coast? The Fiat Strada being built by robots? Volvos being driven through windows by crash test dummies or the Citreon BX being eaten by a mechanical Grace Jones? -
Honest John's Motoring Agony Column 24-12-2016 Part 1 31 Dec 2016 (Forum)
My employers have a Ford mini-bus I drive occasionally. The mileometer failed several years ago, and only the trip mileage is displayed. However, it always gets through the MOT without comment from the testing garage, no mileage being entered on the certificate. -

Impress our car uninterested Son - How do Audi do it? 5 Dec 2011 (Forum)
Cos Skoda failed, Mini failed, despite the nightclub effect showroom, Volvo then failed, Suziki also failed. But boy o boy when he sat in the wee A1 Audi .........................he was genuninely smitten. But I did not see anything particularly different about it, though this was perhaps bearing in mind the price premium. -

Life cycle for the Ford Ka 17 May 2005 (Forum)
Anyone know what Fords plans for the Ka are? Will the baby of their range soldier on for ever in the style of a 2cv or the Mini or is an all new car planned. With the design almost 10 years old now with little development and (probably) quite profitable why change a sucessful niche product? If it aint broke why fix it (cliche) i suspect that it is a major dilema for the product planners on what to do with it in the next few years. -

I've just watched 'A Street, A Track, An Open Road' on DVD. Even my wife (non biker) was hooked - its not the usual safer biking lectures. Sort of mini big brother style on bikes. Produced by the Motorcycle Industry Association and presented by Suzi Perry. With Chris Walker & Jamie Toseland amongst others. DVD only £3 delivered from http://www.stordvd.com/ -

chrome comeback. 23 Feb 2003 (Forum)
Have noticed that chrome is starting to make a comeback on some models lately, the obvious example being the new mini. I personally think it looks great and would love a car with lots of chrome but that won't be possible for a while yet. I did see some chrome today on a car in the form of an after-market no. plate base which you attach the actual no.plate to. -
