• Audi Radiator Leak 18 Jul 2003 (Forum)
  The radiator or one of its associated hoses has sprung a leak on my '93 Audi S2. The ccar is already booked into my local dealer for a different job on Thursday next week (24th). Can I simply keep topping up the coolant resevoir with tap water until it goes into the garage, or should I look at getting it fixed sooner?

  i have just been to veiw an audi 100 2.5tdi 1993 with 180000miles the car has full main dealer history and is faultless apart from when starting the glow pluglight does not come on when the ignition is turned on but the engine starts instantly if left for about 4-5 seconds with ignition on, once started the glowplug light flashes for as long as the engines is running any ideas?

  My friend has an Audi 90 Quattro 20v 1990 engine code 7A. The problem is as follows - When the car is left for a while and is started the idle will drop right off and then pick up again (quite often stalls if foot is not on the gas) , this problem is worse first thing in the morning.

  Hi all, Desperately hoping someone here can help me! My Audi is driving me mental! It is a 57 plate Audi A3 diesel. Basically the problem occurs if I drive it then park it for a shortish amount of time. It won't start and takes about a dozen attempts and 20 infuriating minutes.

  Hello Experts, I am looking to buy my first car and so far it seems it is going to be Audi A4 with 79k on the clock (07 reg). It has got full AUDI service history available which makes me feel a bit less concerned however when i asked about the timing belt history dealer said it is not due at this point in time.

  Hi, My engine Management light came on in my Audi A2 1.6 FSI.  It read as 17439 - Intake Manifold Tuning valve - Setpoint not reached.  After reading various tips I used some Wynns DIP3 which clears carbon out of the engine.  After a few days this fixed the EML!

  Hi,   Really hope somebody can help. I bought a 2004 Audi A4 1.8t with 75k on the clock from a well known dealer. I paid £8500 which included 6 months tax. However after a couple of days I noticed a whining noise and have since found out its a gearbox bearing problem.

  Still a couple of months warranty. 2.0 tdi manual box 12700 miles, no naughty habits of slipping or riding the clutch. Nasty growls and grumbles in the last 2 weeks becoming worse. Used Audi Rescue for an opinion and the diagnosis - "you need a replacement dual mass flywheel!" The car is duly booked in at the nearest Audi agent (25 miles away) for this Thursday on the tech's say-so. I remember it being recalled when almost new for a flywheel check (probably a duff batch) but was given all-clear.

  Apparently the emmission control system warning light came on which I can only presume is a problem with the cat or particulate filter (if it has one!!). The car is a Mutitronic so I reckon I'm going to have to get it recovered from home to our local Audi dealer. Sounds expensive already! I appreciate the first place to look will be via Mr Audi 's diagnostic equioment, but does anybody have any thoughts on the problem etc......... Regards... Age engine size/type inserted.

  I need to sort my airbag problem on my W reg Audi Avant 2.4 (airbag light is permanently on and fault is diagnosed as being in the control box. This fault means no airbag function). I would prefer to avoid buying a replacement unit from Audi - quoted at £280 plus fitting so could be a £500 bill - and wonder if anyone knows of a trustworthy UK repair outfit?
