ENERGY-£2850 credit at Npower 27 Jan 2017 (Forum)
Advice plse!-At Npower's request last week- I submitted accurate meter readings on my direct debit dual fuel account-which at the time(28/1) was £389 in credit. My usage-as recorded by the meter reading(29/1) this last winter quarter was slightly lower than estimated. Only slightly. On checking my account this morning I see that since the 29/1 meter reading Npower have applied 5 bill reversals on my acount resulting in increased credits, the most recent being a staggering £2850. -

Modeo TDCI 130 6 speed manual - Are these oils suitable for my Mondeo Please. 4 May 2016 (Forum)
A friend has offered to service my Mondeo for me, I'm old if I get the bits. I have Crossland fuel filter and oil filters. The mileage is 71k The year registered is 2006 made 2005. I was completely confused by all the choices and different info given by different companies Ford, Europarts Halfords so I chose cheaper options. -
Renault Kangoo Van 1.9D - Lucas Epic injection pump 30 Apr 2016 (Forum)
Starts perfect whatever the weather and runs perefct up to half throttle then starts to smoke increasing as more throttle applied, worse under load up long hills. I ran thru a series of checks such as new air filter, fuel filter, cat clear. Egr was replaced by previous owner 6 months ago and is checked and working fine. I then took it to local diesel specialist who checked for fault codes and found none. Their suggestion was injectors or injection pump but thought more likely injectors because it ran and started so well. -
Ford Focus - Wondering about new car 23 Apr 2016 (Forum)
Perhaps I'll stick to the old one, especially after reading about dubious claims for high m.p.g., as I know my 1.6 petrol is reasonably good on fuel consumption. Perhaps I'll carry on dithering, and not spend any money. -
VW Golf GT 2.0 TDI (2004) - Real world MPG v trip computer (is mine faulty?) 22 Apr 2016 (Forum)
I have run the car only on Shell V Power diesel since owning it and have done way over 2k miles with this fuel. The car has been properly serviced and maintained by the book and has 60k miles on it. I have not done a proper brim to empty test yet, but wondered if other people's trip computer MPG's are as way out as what mine seems to be? -
Vauxhall Astra J VXR - Stone Chips after unmarked re-surfaced road. 8 Apr 2016 (Forum)
I'm not sure if I could have any case here, because I am sick in my stomach I spend a lot of time and effort detailing my car and I would have happily spent extra money on fuel to avoid any possibility of damaging my paintwork. Here is a crudely drawn picture of the road in question blue indicating my direction of travel. http://i.imgur.com/SbL4liw.png Regards Sam -

Vauxhall Vectra C 2.0dti 52 - Can you identify this noise? Video included/vectra 7 Mar 2016 (Forum)
This is a 2.0 dti from a 52 plate vectra y20dth 160k, recently purchased but does have service history stamps with oil changes but was over due a change. Last service was 134k 14/02/08 with oil filter and fuel filter change. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GasVIdMt3Pg Ford Mondeo - Head or heart!? Help choose the car! 6 Feb 2016 (Forum)
I've seen a mondeo 09 plate 2.3 titanium X with all the toys and only 25k on the clock from a ford dealer near brum. It's 8k asking price, checking what car I should aim for 6.7k. I'm not bothered about fuel consumption, I only get 31mpg from my current lump. Tax is £55 more, I can live with it. It's full leather, 18" alloys, heated seats etc etc I want it! Rang the dealer, he said it's only partial service history but mot'd with ford to verify the mileage. -
Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0 CRTD - Slow rev pickup from cold. 20 Jan 2016 (Forum)
Replaced all the necessary parts, got it running. Also did a full service whilst I was there, Oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, Auto box fluid etc. Problem seems to be when it is cold, and you first start in the morning, It really struggles for the rev's to pick up. It does it in neutral as well as drive so eliminating the gearbox. -
Fiesta Flame 1.4l 2004 - Ford Fiesta 2004 1.4l start issue 17 Dec 2015 (Forum)
No fault codes showing. Instrument cluster has been checked, fuel pump and sensor checked, spark plugs and ignition leads replaced, had a split in the crankcase breathing tube which has been replaced. All signs pointed to throttle body, was cleaned out and still did not work, then was temporarily replaced with working throttle body from identical car which still did not sort the problem. -
Ford Mondeo Estate - Shuddering when accelerating 17 Dec 2015 (Forum)

mini one clubman'59 plate - mini one clubman '59 will not start at all 3 Sep 2015 (Forum)
It was due a service and wasn't running entirely smoothly before I left - last year mini had to replace the ?fuel injection as it was malfunctioning - it was running smoothly again for the whole year, but in the week or so before I went away it had started to have a problem with smooth running in 2nd gear (a bit like before). -
Toyota Auris HSD - Best way to drive a hybrid on Dual Carriageways 14 Aug 2015 (Forum)
I know this sort of driving probably isn't a hybrid's/CVT gearbox’s strongest point. Is there any recommended method of driving to maximise fuel economy without holding up the traffic? I tend to accelerate about half-way into the ‘power’ range (on the dial) until I get about 10mph below the speed limit and then ease off and (if there’s enough room before the next roundabout) slowly increase up to the speed limit. -
Honda CR-V - Honda CR-V 2.0 07-12 (Mk3) vs Honda CR-V 2.0 2015 17 Jul 2015 (Forum)
So how Honda CR-V Petrol Manual 4WD MK3 compare to new Honda CR-V Petrol manual 2.0 (Mk4)? Is there a lot of upgrade in term of quailty, way of driving, fuel consumption MK3 vs Mk4 version? Is it worth to upgrade at all? -
Ford Mondeo 2.0 diesel titanium - Snapped Fan Belt 9 May 2015 (Forum)
No odd noises etc but I did notice an odd burning smell when I pulled into the services. Then as I got home I filled it up with fuel. When I started it, there was an odd whirring noise. Hopefully tis is just a case of a fan belt failing, but my mechanical knowledge is not great! Unfortunately the dealers are on the other side of Manchester to where the car is broken down. -
Citreon/C Crosser Diesel - Poor Winter Starting 8 May 2015 (Forum)
I have a 57' C Crosser (Diesel) with just under 75K miles and every winter poor starting-Glowplugs lights up 3-5second.Then turn the key but it always hesitates sometime needing a second key turn .New Battery Installed (bosch S5) and the usual electrical checks Alternator voltage etc via citreon all show nothing wrong..I had a issue a couple of years ago with Fuel filter etc.. In summer the car starts ina fraction of a second..So last winter (albeit a mild one in my area).I decided to try a heater under the battery and one on the oil sump. And hey presto it starts almost perfectly..So my question..does anyone else have similar issues and am I just Masking/hiding a deeper issue..I would be very greatful if anyone could help me answer is this normal or ?.
