• Kia Ceed 1.6 CRDi ISG 2 5dr - What's the modern Kia Ceed (post 2018 model like? 11 May 2023 (Forum)
  , is the MPG as good as Kia makes out? what are the common faults if there is any? how have people found the drive? would be interested to know some thoughts? I have test drove a few models of this version and for me this does feel good to drive. This model of Kia doesn't seem to be that popular in around the city I live, don't think I have noticed one ever!

  the F10 era BMW M5's (looks to be a bit behind the XJ in terms of kit but possibly sportier to drive?) Also the 4.0 V8 M3's (E90 E92) but not sure how they are for space. Then a selection of AMG Mercs the E63 and C63, some with the 6.3 and others with the 5.5 biturbo. Also open to any suggestions people have for the sub 20K mark (although coming in lower would be nice).
• Citroen C4 - Citroen C4 08 - Inner Drum Sticks? 5 Jan 2023 (Forum)
  I can feel some play in the steering wheel, however the car doesn't pull or wander when driving or braking. I notice it clunks over bumps and potholes, and there is a creaking noise when turning into roads from stationary position. The car was a freeby, and due to big dents and scuffs isn't worth anything, so wondering how to treat the situation.

    The EPC and check engine light have been on (mostly all the time) over the past year, and after driving for more than an hour, the engine will cut off while driving. After seeing so many mechanics who can't find anything seriously wrong, I noticed the engine light comes on after breaking sometimes. I also noticed my left rear brake light doesn't turn on.

  Last garage told me they couldn’t diagnose an intermittent fault if it wasn’t in progress at the time. Car still driving normally after 10 days but only using on local roads in my little town. Too nervous to use it on a fast road. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  I'd like to look for a car (does not have to be an SUV) that has space for kids and camping, drives well, has a reliable smooth auto gearbox for around whatever my Tiguan is worth now! Probably around £16,500. I'll look forward to your suggestions.

  On a side note, the compound where the car is located is around 5 miles from the post office; if the car is insured prior to leaving the compound would he be okay driving the 5 miles or would he need someone (probably me!) to drive him to the post office and then drop him back at the compound? Sorry for all tue questions but I haven’t purchased a damage repairable since the days of category C & D

  She already knows what she wants and has got the list down to just two cars and is struggling to pick between the two , test driving did not help either as she likes both.    She's between the Seat Areca and the Mazda CX-5. She currently drives a Seat Mii and is happy with her little seat but she's expecting her third child so needs something a little bigger.

  I have just moved into a new house in April 2021. The previous owner parked 2 cars on drive for over 13 years no problems. Neighbours say there has been a dropped kerb/vehicle access point for at least 30 years. If you look on google maps you can see it.   Here’s my specs: I am 6ft4 (with a 34” inside leg) £13k max Petrol (only cover 7-8k miles per year) Newish car (3 years max) Reliable No bigger than 4.25m(space on drive) It will only be serviced at a manufacturers service centre....
• Hyundai Tucson 2016 1.6 - Do I need a new engine? 2 Nov 2020 (Forum)
  Hi all, So last week my engine started a knocking sound whilst I was on a reasonably long drive. It drove OK and I wasn't getting any engine lights on dashboard. Still being in warranty, I took it to Macklin Motors Hyundai but they will not fix as it has an LPG conversion and the first service was late by the first owner.

  l like to think l drive with a sense of consideration/sympathy to the vehicle & had pretty much made up my mind to keep it simple & go for a normally aspirated chain driven motor,  as though they can have their problems l'm a little fed up with belt replacement; which always seems to be more & more expensive.

  It's become even more real for me as whilst many people will survive some don't, including sadly one of my work colleagues - which is what is keeping me awake tonight! Save lives and stay at home - you won't be learning to drive for a while yet.  If you do go out with someone illegally you will stand out like a sore thumb. Even if you had a provisional licence going out for a driving lesson is not an essential journey.

  Rough transitioning when changing gear, almost sounds as though it’s misfiring. Stop start system stops working. Car jolts excessively when driving between 15-30 mph in 2nd and 3rd, you have to increase acceleration to prevent this. Cooling fan will always come on when the car is switched off. This fault has become more prominent and happens every 50 miles or so - It’s quite unpleasant to drive.

  Selling price is c11K but the leasing company slap on a 10% 'admin fee' bringing it to just over 12K. I am currently driving an ancient and very reliable diesel golf but would like an upgrade. I know the history of the new car, it's pristine and it's lovely to drive. BUT I don't do high mileage - maybe 7K a year.

  Hi there , I’m going car crazy ! Driving me round the bend literally! I’m looking at a car for me and my son. I’m a single dad so money is tight ! A small car is fine as I have a small drive but will consider all can always park on road.
• Seat Ateca vs VW Tiguan - Seat Ateca or VW Tiguan for Motability Lease 31 May 2019 (Forum)
  I have driven all of them all but can't decided. I loved the way the Ateca drove, the Tiguan was luxurious but seemed barge like to drive. The Grandland X I had removed as it seemed cheap inside and underpowered but it has a low deposit. Thanks H.
• 2013 Mazda 6 Diesel - Fuel not Registering/Fuel Line Issues 4 Mar 2019 (Forum)
  I've just added another 5 litres of diesel to make sure (so about 12 litres in total versus 3 miles of driving) and the fuel readout is still on zero and no fuel is getting through (engine eventually cut out after driving about 100 yards tonight.) Any ideas? Have I plugged the fuel line with all the crap at the bottom of the tank?
• Mitsubishi Colt 1.3 Cleartec 2011 - Suspension knocking (sometimes) 19 Jan 2019 (Forum)
  Any suggestions as to the cause of an occasional knocking noise from underneath the car when I go over a bump or a pothole?  It doesn't always occur, seems to be coming from the RH side (the car is LH drive, manual) and is a heavy knock, not at all metallic. I only hear it at low speed. The car drives perfectly, but because of the snow here, I haven't been pushing it through the twisty bits, so can't tell if there's more body roll than usual.

  I would like some advice please - was driving on a dual carriageway in London, speed limit 40. At traffic lights, I changed lanes from middle one to slow lane. Indicated, waited for the car on my left to drive past then changed lanes. My car was about 80% on the lane when a car parked on the side of the road starts moving onto my lane.
