1.1 Citroen Saxo 1999 - Cutting out and then not even ticking over to start again! 16 Mar 2010 (Forum)
This morning as we scrapped the ice off the car, it cut out after starting first time, again as usaul the car started straight up again... once we begain to drive out of the carpark it did it again this time failing to start at all... not even ticking over! We have a feeling this may be down to the ECU but only bought the car as a cheap run around so not spending £500 on a new ECU.. thats almost what we paid for the car! Please can someone give me some good news or other possible problems i could look at before the ECU? -

rover 420 GSI (high Emissions) 6 Sep 2003 (Forum)
But the odd I found was the throttle postion sensor, supply voltage 5v, at idle it should be 0.5, but it was 4.5v, and at full throttle was only 4.8v. so I disconnected the sensor wire to the ECU and found I had the same value, checked the device on ohms and the resistance does change. But I remember some years ago having a MG EFI montego and these used to suffer from blowing the earth pin inside the ECU, normally this was easy to repair, (I use to be a TV & Video Technician so I have all the skills with the soldering iron), I wondered if this ECU suffers from the same problems, I know the Montego one could be done buy using a battery charger. -

Toyota - Estima 1996, 2.2 3CT-E engine. Diesel fault. 29 Nov 2015 (Forum)
Denso computer 89661-28580 (anyone got the pin-outs?) I seem to have about 11.5 volts going into various pins on the ECU. I have 9 volts to the fuel cut-off solenoid. I have 5.4 volts at both wires on one of the 4 electonic valves on the pump that control fuel to the injectors on the pump. Engine earth seems OK. I did a diagnostic test - (the engine had not run since the ECU had been disconnected for a night). -

Citreon Saxo - Citreon Saxo Fuel Relay Issue 11 Sep 2014 (Forum)
The wiring in the loom is all good as are the fuses... I'm absolutely stumped. I'm wondering if the relay sends a signal to the ecu and perhaps its an ecu fault? Although when I do get the car to run it runs spot on. I just can't get the origionla relay to power the pump. Any advice is greatly appreciated guys! Thanks in advance.
