  Of course, he was probably emitting less CO2 than I would do at that speed, but should n't anyone who subscribes to the Prius "I'm saving the planet" thing be driving at a speed where their carbon footprint is as small as possible?

  I was wondering if the is any merit in getting the head skimmed even if it shows no signs of warping. I bought the car with HG failure so not sure how hot it got. The car will start after a bit and drives ok. It has done 160,000 miles. Thanks Stuart

  Hi I drive a GTM K3 Rossa and the seatbelts are tight to say the least. I have just found out the wife is expecting, are the use of seatbelt extensions legal? Is it worth buying one? I am reluctant to change the belts as the car is getting a major overhaul next summer and these will be done then.

  My son complained about his fiesta brakes not feeling quiet"right" I took the car for a drive ......any hard braking is causing the front near side wheel to skid violently????????? Are we talking a seized o/s caliper or something more serious? Have not the time to look at it yet , but any help much appreciated.

  heating fan has stopped working( great when trying to drive with misted windows) removed fan got it running the controller panel seems to be working (graphics all lighting & moving ) I need to know if there is a relay panel or control panel hidden in a cunning place.

  i have a m reg mondeo and it has major probs on starting up i have to high rev the car to keep the engine running or it cuts out i also have to keep high reving as i drive it down the road whats the problem if anyone knows i would be great full

  Strange header I know... A blue tit has taken to perching on my car's mirror when the car is parked on the drive, and then doing what comes naturally all down the door. It has done it on both sides in succession and keeps coming back. Any suggestions as to how to get it to go elsewhere?

  Sometimes they are fine but sometimes they point skywards or about 15 feet in front of the car making it dangerous to drive at night. I've tried testing them at home or at the dealer ( always in daylight ) and the angle is fine. Are there known problems with these systems ? the car is a Renault.

  cheap reliable 4x4 needed for off road use ( driving up and down a 2 mile track for a project in a remote location). Current favourite is a 4.0 litre Jeep of mid 90's vintage. Any other suggestions (due to low mileage fuel consumption is a low prioroty - cheapness and reliability are the main criteria)

  Morning all, Quick question on behalf of afriend who drives a Jag XJ8, model year 2000, 103k. Above 80 a high frequency vibration has started to affect the cabin, and as he munches alot of miles on he Autobahn this is a bit of a problem. Any ideas? He thinks it might be a wheel bearing.

  Interested in peoples opinions of value for money in the auctions at the moment, particularly around 30-60k, 2-3yr old Mondeo's. After a 1.8 petrol or 2.0TDCI. Seems to vary quite a bit at the moment so am wary of driving all the distance to only find they are quite dear. thanks in advance, dave.

  hi, i am new to diesels. other cars '66 Zephyr and 2.8 Capri. The scenic drives great and smoke free but it has a rough /lumpy idle. i put some millers diesel + in and it cured it for a while. Blocked injectors or time for a glow plug change??? Any ideas appreciated. Cheers.

  Tomorrow morning I shall be driving from Bordeaux down to Dax (or somewhere in that area - will find a hotel when I get there). Is it tomorrow (15th July) that loads of French go on hols and head south? I'm wondering about an alternative to the motorway if its really busy.

  Hi, Please could you advise me on mopeds? I want to ride a moped on my driving licence, so it has to be 50cc and have a top design speed of 50 km/h. Do 50cc mopeds all have a top design speeds of 50 km/h? If not, how can I tell what a bike's top speed is? Thanks.

  It seems to be down to a very low 200rpm when warm. No error lights on the dashboard. Normally its around 600 rpm. Car seems to drive ok otherwise. Any ideas on what to look at first?
